  • What is, or could be, an entertainment-based coworking model? Is a good experience entertainment? How do you hire for this? We spent some time thinking about this today, and we are curious to see where it goes in the coming months as a thread of ideas. Are activities in a coworking space entertainment? When we started our coworking space was hosting beer-yoga. Is lifestyle and wellness also entertainment? Do you have other examples?

What a pleasure to sit and talk with super 🇫🇷 Pauline Roussel: Pauline is not simply one of the most important voices in the flex industry; she's a catalyst for joy and community. In this episode of Books that Work, she brought Delivering Happiness (https://lnkd.in/ezmppvXK) by Tony Hsieh, a book not about teddy bears, rainbows, and unicorns, but a framework for bringing good to what we do. A book, in its author's words, that is a Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose. Pauline also told me about the book that she has already written with Dimitar (https://coworkiesbook.com) and the new one that will be released soon. I love her message that happiness is contagious; we should spread it more.

Why is it so important to keep a working space alive? 👀 Last week, you might have noticed that Justinas Simutis was not hosting the office, but only because he had joined COMS – The Community Managers Summit in Barcelona, where 25 community builders from 12 countries came together to exchange ideas, questions and real-life tricks on how to make workspaces even more suitable for effective work. 🌴 Justinas Simutis visited Barcelona’s coworking spaces, such as Monday Working Spaces; Aticco Living; Cloudworks | Coworking & flexible offices and MOB – Makers of Barcelona, reminding us that community is built not only through events, but also through the flow, feeling and tiny details of a place. Well, Justinas came back with fresh ideas, good energy and one clear reminder: great communities don’t just happen. They are built. 💛

  • 🥹 COMS Barcelona, thank you for all the community love. Read some of our very own Pauline's takeaways from the summit below. #coworking #coworkingspace #community #communitymanagement

Last week, something very special and close to my heart happened and I still can't fully put words into what we collectively experienced. We hosted the second edition of COMS - The Community Managers in Barcelona at Monday Working Spaces together with Nexudus. We've once heard an operator say that the transition between opening a first and a second space felt more challenging than a second and a third. I felt the same kind of challenge with this chapter of COMS. After hosting the first edition at Projects in Brighton in September 2025, it felt quite scary at first to bring to life a second edition. So many questions around what to keep, what to reinvent, what to drop. But similar to the first edition, the answers came from the people in the room. If there is one thing I've learned over the last 11 years in coworking, it is that I don't want to build anything "for" people, I want to build it "with" them. And that's exactly what we did. We asked participants what they wanted to learn, what challenges they had, what questions were keeping them awake at night. And from their lived-experiences, we built one of our own, with them. Maybe what I enjoyed the most at COMS in Barcelona is seeing 25 people who barely knew each other at 08:30 AM become so close and so opened to each other by 10:00 AM (imagine the bond by 11:00 PM). What the day reminded me is that there is no one approach to bringing people together. The secret sauce lies in building the right team, for the right space and give them the right ingredients to create their own community recipes. We took the chance of the day to celebrate the work they do. Show them how essential it is, not just to us or their members but to society. In a world that's becoming more and more digital, more and more disconnected, we need community managers to keep us connected to ourselves and to others. The job they do every day goes far beyond events. That's why we didn't talk about community events. Instead, we looked at the early (and fragile) days of a member joining their spaces. We discussed how different personalities and characters have different expectations of a coworking space. At some point, we became doctors, then architects and everyone got reminded that what matters most is what we called "everyday hospitality" - micro-moments of care designed for the people we do this for. To everyone who joined, thanks for giving so much of you and for being fully present. To everyone who's curious to join the next one, I've some good news: Dimitar Inchev already updated the website and you can know enter your email address to get notified when COMS #3 launches (and we know already how special that one will be) I can't end this post without a special thank you to Xavi Bassons, Martina Daviu Quera, Maisé Villafranca Garreta, Francisco Donegani, Carlos Almansa Ballesteros and Jane Robathan for co-creating this beautiful edition with us ❤️ #coworking #coworkingspace #communitymanagers

Last week, I had the opportunity to join #COMS – The Community Managers Summit, organized by Coworkies and hosted this year at Monday Working Spaces. #COMS brings together community professionals from coworking spaces across Europe to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, share experiences, and learn from one another. This year, I joined 25 professionals from 12 countries and dozens of cities. What made this experience unique for me is that I'm not a community manager. My background is in leadership, facilitation, and hospitality. When I first saw the announcement, I was curious but wasn't entirely sure what community management in coworking spaces actually meant. Still, something about it drew me in—and I'm very glad I decided to join. Beyond learning about the profession itself, I met inspiring people from different cultures, backgrounds, and organizations. What stood out most was that despite our different approaches, we all shared the same goal: bringing people together. In a world that often encourages individualism, it was refreshing to spend time with people whose work is centered around creating connection, belonging, and community. The summit was inspiring, thought-provoking, challenging, and welcoming. I leave with new perspectives, meaningful connections, and plenty of ideas to carry forward! I came to learn about community management. I left thinking about community itself 😀 Thank you to everyone who made this experience possible, especially Pauline Roussel, Dimitar Inchev, and Francisco Donegani. I'm excited to see where these conversations and learnings will lead next! #CommunityManagement #Coworking #Hospitality #Networking #Barcelona

Where does the journey of your coworking member start? This is a question we often ask coworking teams and the answers we receive are ranging from "when they come for a tour" to "when we onboard them" to "when they sign their contract". And to be honest, I am not here to tell you what's right or wrong. As we always say, coworking is the same dish everyone cooks differently so I get that everyone design their members' journey slightly differently. BUT If you want a bit of perspective on the matter, and if you want to learn from others, then come workshop with us tomorrow 🤓 Nexudus x Coworkies are joining forces to discuss the very early touchpoints of a member's journey. Not when they come for a tour or sign a contract or are onboarded. Even before that. When you first enter their world. Our goal with this session? Dimitar and I will help you understand ways you could potentially improve this very fragile phase to put all your chances to convert on your side. This will be interactive, online, free and full with other operators eager to share what they do and... learn from you. We'll bring as many real life examples as possible so you can leave with plenty of inspiration. Checkout all the details here and secure your spot before it's too late: https://lnkd.in/dDET_z-X cc Jane Robathan, Carlos Almansa Ballesteros thanks for putting this together! #coworkingspace #memberexperience #sales #lead #community

COMS – What's that? The Community Managers Summit was hosted last week for the second time by Coworkies - this time in Barcelona, at Monday Working Spaces. And I had the honor of being a part of this wonderful time. I own a workspace, 3RAUM Creative Workspace SAARBRÜCKEN, and of course, as soon as I got the information that there would be a summit only for community managers, it was clear I couldn’t miss the opportunity to meet peers. And it turned out to be a fantastic gathering of 25 community managers from across Europe. It was the best decision I could have made. I had the chance to meet incredible people who truly love people and care for them - Community Managers, makes sense, right? We shared experiences, insights, stories... It truly was all about collective learning, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of community. Together, we thought about new ways to bring more value to our spaces. We often talk about onboarding and forget that offboarding is just as important. Not only did I learn more about ways to improve, but I also enjoyed an incredible city, Barcelona, in the company of amazing people. My thanks go to the initiators Pauline Roussel and Dimitar Inchev from Coworkies and the city ambassador for this edition, Francisco Donegani 👏. You absolutely rocked that place! Sending so much love to my peers. Credit: Julian Jekov #COMS2026 #Coworkies #CommunityManagement #CommunityManagers #CoworkingSpace #CoworkingEurope #BarcelonaCoworking #CollectiveLearning

✨ Still buzzing from COMS 2026! ⚡⚡ As the Community Manager at Marechal 1551 - Business Residence, I am incredibly grateful for the amazing days spent at Monday Working Spaces, in Barcelona, for the 2nd edition of COMS - The Community Managers Summit. A huge thank you 🙏 to Pauline Roussel & Dimitar Inchev (Coworkies) for organizing an event that truly allowed us to share what is in our hearts and minds. Thank you also to Francisco Donegani for being such a welcoming host and sharing excellent insights. It was wonderful to dive into it all—from the everyday chaos of running a space (yes, washing machines and packed fridges!) to the strategy behind onboarding, offboarding, and designing member journeys. Here’s to 2027! 🙌🙌 Counting down the days until I see this AMAZING crowd again. If there’s one takeaway from this event, it’s a beautiful reminder that what really matters in life is, indeed, people. ❤️ #marechal1551 #community #COMS #coworkingworld #itsallaboutpeople

From coworking tours and onboarding/offboarding processes to redesigning the member journey, brainstorming community events, and even dealing with dishwasher issues... all this and much more at COMS Barcelona! A few days ago, I had the opportunity to attend the second edition of COMS, the summit for community managers organized by Coworkies, which this year took place in Barcelona at Monday Working Spaces. What can I say? It was truly a whirlwind of emotions. Before walking into that room, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I was nervous, but also excited and curious. Within minutes, though, I found myself surrounded by brilliant, welcoming people. Together, we shared experiences, discussed community well-being, retention, customer journeys, and - most importantly - the challenges we all have in common. I also learned that I'm not the only one who doesn't recognize famous people, that getting tattoos while drunk is probably not the best idea, that not knowing what to do with your life at 26 is completely normal (apparently things start making sense around 30!), and that there's something special about feeling understood by people you've never met before. A huge thank you to everyone who made this experience so memorable, and especially to Pauline Roussel and Dimitar Inchev for organizing such an incredible event. Thinking about how to put all this into practice in YoRoom Coworking and looking forward to the next one! ✨ ph.
