Q2 payouts just hit. And right now, somewhere, a rep is opening their comp statement… and then opening a spreadsheet to check the math themselves. That's shadow accounting and it's not a rep problem. It's a trust problem. When reps don't trust their statements, they: → Burn selling hours auditing their own pay → Flood comp admins with disputes → Quietly discount every incentive you roll out The fix isn't "communicate more." It's transparency by design with statements that show the deal, the rate, and the math so clearly there's nothing left to double-check. That's what we build for our clients in CaptivateIQ every day. If your Q2 payout cycle came with a wave of "quick question about my statement" messages… let's talk before Q3 does the same thing. #ComposedCompGroup #ICM #SalesComp #RevOps #CaptivateIQ

"The calculations are right... so why do the statements look wrong?" If you're a comp admin, you've lived this moment. You're reviewing statements before they go out. The math checks out. The payout numbers are correct in your plan worksheets. But when you preview the statement, something's off. Blank tables. Missing deals. A number that doesn't match what you know the system calculated. Here's the thing: in CaptivateIQ, calculations and statements are two different layers. The plan can be processing perfectly while the statement, which is just a configured view of those results, is broken. When this happens, check these first: 𝟭. Process 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀. Statements reflect your last processing run, so if the numbers look stale, the data may have changed since you last processed. Process again to refresh your data. 𝟮. W𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴. Statement tables point at specific worksheet columns, so rebuilding a worksheet leaves components pointing at references that no longer exist. Remap your worksheets to accurately reflect what exists on your worksheets. 𝟯. Worksheet 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. A worksheet filter on your statement worksheets or a column not set to show on the statement can hide data that's sitting right there in your results. Check these first if you aren't seeing specific deals or columns come through. 𝟰. 𝗣𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱𝘀. Mid-period transfers or a rep tied to the wrong plan version can leave someone with a statement that doesn't match the plan they're actually on. The good news? Catching this in review means your reps never see it. And "broken statement, working calcs" is almost always a mapping, processing, or assignment issue, not a math problem. Fix the connection, not the formula. And if your statements break every month, that's a design issue worth solving once instead of patching monthly (We can help with that 😉) #IncentiveCompensation #CaptivateIQ #SalesComp #RevOps #ComposedCompGroup

Back to the desk after a long weekend and It's the best kind of Tuesday. ☀️ The grill's cooled off, the sunscreen's put away, and our team is walking into this week rested and ready. There's something about a real break that sharpens everything. The comp plan question that felt tangled last Wednesday? Suddenly obvious. The RevOps project that stalled? Fresh eyes, new path forward. That's our reminder for this week: rest isn't the opposite of productivity, it's part of it. So if you're easing back in this morning, coffee in hand, staring down a full inbox....same. But we're energized for what's ahead: mid-year comp checkpoints, H2 planning conversations, and helping teams get their incentive comp running smoothly before Q3 picks up steam. Here's to a refreshed and focused week. Let's make it a great one. 💪 #RevOps #SalesComp #IncentiveCompensation #CaptivateIQ #ComposedCompGroup

This week, our Chicago-based company is doing what most of America is doing: wrapping things up early, firing up the grill, and celebrating independence. 🇺🇸 And honestly? Independence is kind of our whole thing. Because if you've ever managed incentive comp in spreadsheets, you know what dependence feels like: Dependent on one person who understands the formulas. Dependent on a black-box system nobody can explain. Dependent on IT tickets just to update a rate table. That's exactly what CaptivateIQ frees you from. Full visibility into your comp logic. The flexibility to model and change plans yourself. Payouts your reps can actually trust; no translation required. That's real independence for RevOps, Sales Ops, and Finance teams. And it's why we built Composed Comp Group exclusively around CIQ. Wishing you a safe and happy Independence Day from all of us at CCG. 🎆 May your grill stay hot and your comp plans stay under your control. #IncentiveCompensation #CaptivateIQ #SalesComp #RevOps

What's your comp cycle state of mind today? Some of you are deep in plan design. Some are still recovering from Q2 close. And here at CCG? We're auditing like it's already 5pm somewhere 🤪 , June 30th means it's time to make sure every payout, every formula, every edge case ties out before the books close. Comp audits aren't glamorous, but they're the difference between a clean quarter and a scramble in Q3. Tell us where you're at in the comments; plan building, managed services mode, or just trying to make it to Friday? #IncentiveCompensation #CaptivateIQ #StateOfMind #ICM #ComposedCompGroup

Myth: If reps trust the comp process, it's working. Reality check? 91% of organizations report high payee trust in their comp process and 64% of those same organizations had payout errors in the last year. Trust isn't proof the system is clean. It's just proof reps haven't caught the problem yet. Here's what high trust with high errors actually looks like behind the scenes: → Errors making it to payout before anyone catches them → No single source of truth for comp data → Reps who can't see their earnings clearly so they just... assume it's right → Comp admins manually reconciling what the system should be doing automatically Reps keep trusting right up until they don't. And when trust breaks in comp, it breaks fast. A high trust score isn't a clean bill of health. It's a lag indicator. 🚨 The teams actually protecting payee trust aren't just running a good plan, they're running an accurate, visible, automated process behind it. You bought the software. You didn't finish the job. 82% of companies now run incentive compensation on formal software platforms. Only 33% have automated their commission process end to end. That gap isn't a technology problem. It's a wiring problem. Here's what it looks like in practice: → Data still getting pulled manually into the system → Plan changes living in a spreadsheet before someone moves them over → Reps waiting on statements that should already be in their dashboard → Comp admins spending hours on work the platform was built to eliminate Buying an ICM platform isn't the finish line. An unautomated process on great software is still a manual process just with a license fee attached. If your team is running CaptivateIQ but still feels like they're doing it the hard way, that's exactly the problem we fix. Let's talk about what fully wired actually looks like. 71% of sales reps start their fiscal year without a finalized plan or quota. H2 starts in two weeks. For a lot of teams that number isn't just a statistic. It's a reality check. Here's what we're seeing on the ground right now: → Quota resets that haven't been modeled or communicated yet → Plan changes that haven't made it into CaptivateIQ → Reps heading into July selling against a target that doesn't exist yet → Ops teams fielding questions they can't answer fast enough Every day into H2 without a locked plan is a day of effort spent against a guess. The good news? There's still time, but not a lot of it. The companies that win the second half go into July with their plans built, their system updated, and their reps knowing exactly what they're selling toward. That's what we help make happen. 👇 If your H2 comp plan isn't locked yet, let's talk. Adding a SPIFF to fix your commission plan is like putting a band-aid on a broken bone. It feels like action. It isn't. Our Sales Engineer David Loayza breaks it down in this one 👇 When companies layer SPIFF plans on top of underperforming commissions, they're not solving the problem, they're admitting it exists. If reps need an extra cash incentive to sell the thing you're already paying them to sell, that's your comp plan telling you something. We help companies actually fix it. 🎥 Watch David's take, then drop your thoughts in the comments; we'd love to hear if you've seen this play out on your team. #IncentiveCompensation #SalesOps #RevOps #CommissionPlans #CaptivateIQ #ComposedCompGroup
