According to new federal data, the vast majority of new utility-scale generating capacity expected to come online in 2026 will come from solar, storage, and wind, with solar leading the way. Virginia’s energy future will require practical leadership, clear strategy, and a strong focus on affordability and reliability. We are encouraged to see Governor Spanberger create a cabinet-level Chief Energy Officer role and appoint Josephus Allmond to help lead that work. Proactive energy leadership matters. As Virginia works to meet rising demand, strengthen the grid, and deploy more clean energy and storage, coordination across policy, utilities, markets, and infrastructure will be critical. Together, we designed a custom solar pavilion that offsets more than 100% of their annual energy use and stands as one of the first installations of its kind in Virginia. For our recent project with The Helios Apartments: ♻️ A vacant motel became a fully solar-powered community. 🏡 186 families can enjoy affordable, modern homes with lower utility costs. 📈 An entire neighborhood gets a boost from long-term investment. Our team designed and installed the ground-mount + rooftop solar system that aims to offset *all* of the development’s current energy needs. The final product is remarkable. Solar-on-school installation #65 is in the books! Patrick Henry High School is one of those projects that proves why preparation matters. It’s our largest site for Roanoke City Public Schools, and we built it while school was fully in session—buses, sports, students, deliveries, the whole thing. What a difference a little vision (and a lot of hard work) can make. 🛠️ We’ve transformed a vacant warehouse into our new operations hub — a space built to power solar projects across the mid-Atlantic and opportunities right here in Richmond. This site now houses our fabrication shop, fleet headquarters, and (soon!) a workforce training center for local residents.
