The firm’s distinct style blends organic and contemporary aesthetics, utilizing eight Coil + Drift TOAM Pendants with varying lengths to punctuate the dinning area. Transforming a 14,000 sq ft structure into a bespoke rural sanctuary, their Hidden Hills project has been honored by the 2025 INT Interior Design Awards, Architecture MasterPrize, and featured on the cover of Country Retreats by Beta Plus Publishing. Coil + Drift Celebrates 10 Years: A Decade of Dancing with Light Over the past 10 years, Coil + Drift has grown from a creative practice working with outside fabricators, to a lighting and furniture brand with a robust in-house fabrication department. We’ve grown from a team of one to a team of six. From a little shop in Brooklyn to a 3000 square foot atelier in the Catskills where we produce 36 distinct products, all made to order. Through all this transformation, the relationship between movement, form, and light has remained a constant inspiration. So we’re calling this celebration ‘A Decade of Dancing with Light’. 10 years is a major milestone and we’re going to celebrate in many ways over the coming months. To kick it off, we shot a video and image campaign with Zach Hyman, now live on our site homepage.

Our YAMA Floor Lamp in tarnished nickel stuns in the new Forest Edge House. Catskills neighbor, Edifice Upstate, completes their fifth solar home build. Designed by architect Marc Thorpe, this project is a testament to the role of design in paving a sustainable, balanced future powered by ecological respect and intimacy.
