  • Congratulations Sandip!!

Excited to share that I'm now a certified 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫, and have also earned 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐀𝐳𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬 (𝐀𝐙-900) and 𝐀𝐳𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬 (𝐀𝐈-900) 🎉 This became possible thanks to the Code for Nepal 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, in collaboration with the DataCamp 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 program, which gave me access to learn: 📌 Programming Languages: Python, R, SQL 📌 Data: Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science 📌 AI: From classical Machine Learning to AI/RAG/LangGraph 📌 Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP - plus discount coupons for certification exams Honestly, once you start learning on DataCamp, it's hard to go back to any other platform. The hands-on, project-based way of learning just hits different. For the Azure certifications specifically, I studied through DataCamp and then sat for the Pearson VUE exams for free, using a voucher from the National Innovation Center Nepal - grateful for the opportunity and for the trust to use those credits wisely 🤗 If you'd like to build similar (or better!) credentials, the application link is here 👉 https://lnkd.in/g8DatK89 Certificates attached below. #DataCamp #AZ900 #AI900 #AssociateDataEngineer #CodeForNepal #DataFellowship #DataEngineering #ContinuousLearning #NepalTech

  • 📢 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 2026 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞. 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴, 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘴, and we're still not tired of watching people go from "what's a data frame?" to publishing their own data visualizations. If it ain't broke, we keep running it. But this year we spiced things up a little: 💰 There's actual cash on the line this time. Publish a blog post or data viz after earning your DataCamp certificate, and it doesn't just look good on your portfolio; it pays too. 🎤 We've also added extra interactive sessions on top of the usual DataCamp + mentorship combo, because apparently one Slack channel wasn't enough chaos for us. 💸 And it's completely free - a Premium DataCamp subscription 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡  ̳$̳3̳3̳0̳ is on us, thanks to DataCamp. No catch, just skills. We've also teamed up with TechPana as our official media partner this year, so keep an eye out: they'll be helping us spread the word (and maybe yours too, if your blog post gets picked). Here's what stays the same: expert-led mentorship, real community, and a fellowship that's genuinely trying to help you build your AI and data skills -not just hand you a certificate and disappear. ⏳ 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: seats are limited and so is the enrollment window - don't be the person who "meant to apply" next week. Four cohorts in, we've learned a thing or two. Come see what's different this year 👇 Read more and apply here: https://lnkd.in/g6cGV7eq #CodeForNepal #DataFellowship2026 #DataCamp #TechForGood #NepalTech

Recently, the Government of Nepal announced its budget for fiscal year 2083/84 with a major focus on digital transformation. In light of this, our founder Ravi K. wrote an op-ed — now featured on eKantipur, one of Nepal's largest news portals. With nearly one-third of Nepal's adults facing literacy challenges, Ravi argues for a "𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞-𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭, 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧-𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭" approach, powered by strong digital infrastructure and privacy policy. My younger sister is voting for the first time tomorrow, and she had no idea what to expect inside a polling station. So, we built a polling station simulator (मतदान सिमुलेटर) where you can walk through the entire voting process before you go, because not knowing what to expect is one of those small things that quietly stops people, and we didn't want that to be the reason. Try it tonight and share it with a first-time voter. https://lnkd.in/gVv-pGBk #NepalElection2026 #Nepal #Vote #SchoolOfDemocrazy #FirstTimeVoter

At HUSIG, we ran an internal game jam built around one word. Ballot. No fixed mechanics. No preset format. We spent a coffee break turning the voting experience into something playable. The result was a compact but diverse exploration of elections as interaction, logic, and data. This feels especially relevant right now. In two days, Nepal will head into another national election. The decisions made in that process will shape representation, governance priorities, and public accountability for years. Voting is not symbolic. It is a direct input into how power is structured and exercised. Elections are core civic infrastructure. They define representation, power distribution, and institutional trust. These games isolate different parts of that system. Operational pressure. Accuracy. Validation. Simulation. Transparency. Each one focuses on a specific layer of the electoral process. You can either access all the game here https://lnkd.in/ghKPfRgB or try them individually as follows: 3D मतदान by subhamadhikari – A 3D polling station where players move using arrow keys, drag to orbit the environment, and stamp ballots inside an interactive space. https://lnkd.in/gvX9p_Qz ब्यालेट ब्लिट्ज (Ballot Blitz) by saveenstha – A 30 second time attack game focused on collecting ballots as fast as possible to maximise score. https://lnkd.in/ge4JHsnd स्टेडी ह्यान्ड (Steady Hand) by saveenstha – A precision challenge where players keep the cursor centered to cast valid votes. https://lnkd.in/gZS7uGJh मतपत्र परीक्षक (Ballot Inspector) by crypticsy – A ballot validation game where players classify votes as valid or invalid, earning time bonuses or penalties based on accuracy. https://lnkd.in/gF39uB4d निर्वाचन सिमुलेशन (Simulation) by shankarbhattarai123 – A 3D election game where players guide a character through voting, and each choice determines if the ballot is valid or invalid. https://lnkd.in/gxCrhUrc निर्वाचन पोर्टल by sandipkatel – A seat allocation simulator where players write manifesto, adjust party shares and observe how seat distribution shifts. https://lnkd.in/gY5xt6Uq The exercise demonstrated how a single civic artefact can evolve into multiple systems. Ballots became movement mechanics, time pressure, classification logic, statistical modelling, and geographic data exploration. That range was the objective. #Nepal #ElectionNepal2082 #CoffeeBreak #Husig

After completing the Associate AI Engineer for Data Scientists track, I wanted to explore the developer-focused side of AI. I’ve now completed DataCamp’s Associate AI Engineer for Developers track and passed the certification exam. This track focused on building AI-powered applications and working with the OpenAI API, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases (Pinecone), LangChain, LLMOps concepts, and software engineering practices in Python. It helped me move from understanding models to understanding how to integrate them into real systems. Grateful to Code for Nepal for providing access to DataCamp through their Data Fellowship. Looking forward to applying these skills in projects and internships. Certificate: https://lnkd.in/gd7UFwnT DataCamp #AIEngineering #GenerativeAI #LLMOps #LearningJourney #codefornepal

I recently completed DataCamp’s Associate AI Engineer for Data Scientists track and passed the certification exam. The journey covered everything from classical ML (supervised & unsupervised learning) to deep learning with PyTorch, explainable and responsible AI, LLMs (including Hugging Face and LLaMA 3), and the engineering side of things: MLOps concepts, testing, Git, and software engineering practices in Python. This is one step in a much longer learning path, but a meaningful one. On to building, breaking, and improving real systems. Big thanks to Code for Nepal for giving me access to DataCamp through their Data Fellowship. This opportunity made it possible to dive deep and earn the certification. Reflecting on a meaningful experience from a few weeks ago, where I had the privilege of participating in the 𝐖𝐈𝐀 𝐱 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐈𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐂𝐈𝐓) program across 𝑴𝒂𝒅𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒉 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 and 𝑲𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒖 𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒚. As someone deeply passionate about education and youth empowerment, I was honored to share knowledge with talented young minds alongside my colleagues Yujal Shrestha, Saphal Rimal, and Sharad Pokharel. It was inspiring to witness the students' enthusiasm as we explored critical topics including internet safety, cybersecurity awareness, and strategies for maximizing digital opportunities. We also had the opportunity to guide these aspiring technologists through foundational concepts in hardware and software, while introducing them to emerging technologies and pathways for building careers in tech. I extend my sincere gratitude to LOCUS and WorldLink Communications for providing this invaluable opportunity to contribute to the next generation of technology leaders.
