When field spend gets out of control, the first instinct is usually to take everyone's corporate cards away. Check out Alex Sussman’s take on why that's the wrong move, and what to do instead. Coast gives you the controls without the chaos: spend limits by job, category, day, or time. Real-time visibility into every swipe. Driver-level accountability. Receipt capture and GL coding built in. Your team keeps the cards they need to do the job, and you keep a handle on where the money goes.

Coast is hiring a Senior Recruiter for our Talent team! It could be you! We're looking for someone who wants a hand in shaping the recruiting process, not just running it. You’ll own GTM hiring end to end: sourcing through close, building real relationships with senior leaders, and stretching into projects like employer brand or recruiting ops along the way. We're growing fast, and taking on an industry that's run on outdated tools for decades. The right person will bring both the hustle to build something from scratch and the judgment to know what's worth building. If you care as much about how you hire as who you hire, we'd love to talk. This role is hybrid, based in our NYC or Salt Lake City office, apply now! NYC: https://lnkd.in/gp59pWYx SLC: https://lnkd.in/gA-NBEk2

The RV made it home. Three weeks, coast to coast, from New York to Las Vegas, and Jet Toner just wrapped the last stop. We built this trip around one idea. Most of the tools people use every day get built far from the job sites where they're actually used, and we wanted to see that distance up close instead of guessing at it from an office. So we put a marketer on the road and let real businesses show him how they actually work. What Jet came home with is proof of how incredible our customers really are. Entrepreneurial, competitive, building something bigger every day, and still generous enough to hand a stranger a mower or a seat at the table. Thank you to every customer who welcomed Jet along the way, every partner (Knowify! Samsara! Discount Tire! 7-Eleven and more) who believed in the shared mission, and every viewer who came along for the ride. The RV may be back, but the journey is not over! Follow Jet & Coast’s TikTok, there’s plenty more where this came from: https://lnkd.in/ggN7-Vxh

Our SVP of Product, Alexandre Sitbon, went deep on a podcast about what Coast is building, who we're building it for, and the kind of designer who thrives on his team. He gets into why the trades are the most interesting customer in fintech right now, and what great design looks like when you're building for a driver at the pump and a CFO in the back office at the same time. The designer he wants on the team is someone with high agency and real care for the customer, the type who fixes the broken screen instead of filing a ticket about it. That's who we're hiring. Watch below & check out the open role in the comments 👇👇 https://lnkd.in/gF82dv8J

Coast and Knowify are back on July 21st to talk about the field spend that never gets coded to the job, and how much it can hurt your profitability. The last minute run to the supply house. The toll or parking fee nobody tracks. Each one seems small on its own, but add them up across a job and thats real margin walking out the door. Carol Lanham handles A/P at Global Communications Inc., where she catches this leakage before it hits the books. She’s joining us to share how she stays ahead of it. 📅 July 21 ⏱ 1pm ET 👉 Register: https://lnkd.in/gfjHtyGm

“Can I use my fuel card at other shops, or do I need a corporate card too?” This is a question we get all the time. Lise Pleyber breaks it down in this clip: with Coast, it's one card for everything you approve, fuel, maintenance, whatever makes sense for your team. You can even toggle these categories on or off, or approve out of policy spend directly from your phone. No need to juggle multiple cards on multiple systems, Coast does it all 😎 Check out the clip for more details

Today Coast does something it has never done in its history: it pays your bills. Automatically. Without taking a single decision away from your finance team. This is Bill Pay, the biggest product expansion we've ever shipped. For decades, paying a vendor invoice in trades has meant the same ritual: a printer, a checkbook, and someone keying in every line item by hand. Slow and frustrating, but that manual work kept finance in control. At Coast, we think automation and control go hand in hand. So we built Bill pay to keep the reliability and cut the tedious work. It connects to your AP inbox, pulls invoices automatically, scans every detail, routes them to the right approver, and syncs to QuickBooks when they're paid. It lives in the same platform you already use for fleet and card spend, so you have one dashboard, and one view of every dollar moving through the business. The finance team keeps full control over the AP process. They just don't have to do it manually anymore. Starting today, Bill Pay is available to all Coast customers. Request access from your Coast portal, or reach out to your account manager to get started. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gtu5kb8n

Our team has launched more product this year than ever before: a rewards program, a Samsara embedded integration, virtual cards, controls updates, and more in progress. We do it from two offices, NYC and SLC, and occasionally from a flame wrapped RV on a cross country road trip. If you want to build for a vertical that's been underserved by fintech for too long, we'd love to talk. https://lnkd.in/efg74QaT
