Fast, Secure, Efficient High Directional Anchoring and Rigging. The AHP was designed with the intent of arriving on scene and quickly securing the Arizona Vortex and also anchoring descent control devices or changes of direction. The AHP alone allows for AZV and devices setup in line with the vehicle. The addition of the 90-Degree adaptor allows for quick setup of systems to be run perpendicular to the vehicle. This is a great solution when rigging systems on narrow bridges or where limited space can restrict different options for positioning a vehicle. Both the AHP and Adaptor have a 36 kN MBS with working load limits of 8 kN. . . . #roperescue #confinedspacerescue #roperescuetechnician #ropeaccesstechnician

Introducing CMC Tech G Designed for access work and rescue operations in demanding environments, the 11 mm CMC Tech G™ has excellent strength to weight properties and excellent resistance to heat and abrasion. The dual-sheath design features a 100-percent Technora aramid fiber outer sheath (including the tracers) for enhanced heat and cut resistance while the inner polyester sheath has bright orange tracers to help technicians easily identify any compromises to the rope. The Technora outer sheath combined with the rope’s G-rated strength make it ideal for rescue applications where flashover fires or other thermal events may occur. These same properties also make it an excellent choice for industrial applications such as welding work or rigging near heated pipes. Tech G also keeps its shape under tension and remains round in mechanical devices even under extreme conditions. Three New Arizona Vortex Accessories available now, to enhance your artificial high directional operations. The Appalachian Hitching Post is the brain child of our very own Kelly Byrne (the same D.C. Firefighter turned CMC employee who developed the BT System for CMCs LEVR Escape Systems) and brought to life by Rock Exotica. The USA-Made AHP is a hitch-mounted interface specifically designed secure a leg of the Arizona Vortex to a vehicle. It also acts as a rigging plate, with integrated attachments points to streamline TTRS setups and directly connect to the vehicle anchor. This AHP is designed to fit 2" receivers and has an MBS of 36 kN. A 90-Degree Adaptor for the AHP is also available and sold separately. This expands the different anchoring options for the AHP without having to move a vehicle, or when there is limited space to reposition. The Omni Resultant Finder Pulley has nothing to do with securing a vortex to anything physical, but it sure does have to do with keeping the Vortex firmly planted. It combines a 2-inch sheave pulley and a bright green laser for both training applications and live system monitoring. It helps users visualize the resultant force that is being applied when the AZV is used in a directional frame mode, while maintaining the primary function in the system as a strong (36 kN) smooth pulley. While it's no replacement for proper training, it provides a visual aid to an otherwise invisible force that has great impact on the safe and proper setup and use of the Arizona Vortex. All Three Vortex Add-Ons are available now from CMC. . . . #roperescue #confinedspacerescue #roperescuetechnician #ropeaccesstechnician #roperescue #confinedspacerescue #roperescuetechnician #ropeaccesstechnician

2026 Open Enrollment classes are available now! Today we are featuring the CMC School’s course, Rope Access for the Fire Service. CMC’s 3-Day, Rope Access for the Fire Service class (previously known as Vertical Skills Class) will introduce a selection of Rope Access techniques specifically chosen to improve the rescuer’s ability to move independently on rope. Taking place in a climate-controlled facility with easy travel logistics, students will use industry-leading equipment to move on rope and learn how to better support rescues in challenging environments. When the number of rescuers is limited, or the problem requires vertical movement, the ability to operate on a static line may offer the best solution for reaching the patient. Whether the setting is a high tower, industrial facility, or a backcountry cliff, learning these valuable techniques will allow rescuers to be a greater asset to their team. This course is condensed, cost-effective, and entirely focused on rescuers who want to improve in real world situations. This course does not replace a SPRAT or IRATA Rope Access course; it is intended to expand a rescuer’s existing skill set. Graduates will receive a CMC School certificate of completion. Skills Taught - Inspect personal equipment - Perform job safety analysis - Rig simple anchors - Ascend and descend ropes - Knot pass on ascent and descent - Edge transition without high directional help - Simple pickoff rescues from ascent and descent - Rope to rope transfers - Maneuver through a re-anchor and maneuver through a deviation. Course date: November 11th - 13th, Bakersfield, CA. . . . . #ropeaccess #firefighter #firstresponder #fireservice #ropeaccess #firefighter #firstresponder #fireservice
