Most AI output isn't a model problem. It's a context problem. When a non-technical founder types a prompt and gets back something that sounds like a corporate press release, it's not because the AI is bad. It's because the AI is operating on world knowledge alone — with no idea who you are, what you're building, or who you're talking to. I've been thinking about this as a four-layer AI Context Stack: 1. World Knowledge — What the model already knows. Everyone has access to the same thing. This is table stakes. 2. Organizational Context — Your brand voice, your positioning, your internal language. This is where generic becomes yours. 3. Creator Context — Your role, your expertise, your current objective. A marketer and an engineer need completely different output from the same topic. 4. Audience Context — Who's reading it and what they actually need. Without this, even brilliant knowledge lands flat. Most people stop at layer 1 and then wonder why they spend 30 minutes editing AI output back into something usable. That's not saving time — that's adding a step. The higher you build the stack, the less editing you do. I've been formalizing this into a framework we use at Cloudburst when we set up AI workflows and build products for clients.
