Hangers, hooks and poly bags rarely make it into sustainability strategies. They're treated as packaging overhead, not part of the supply chain conversation, but these items account for millions of tonnes of plastic waste globally, much of it single-use and headed straight to landfill. Pacard Group and Enviro Hanger, founded by Rosita van Vuuren in 2017, set out to fix that. Their cardboard hangers, display packaging and glassine garment bags are made from recycled FSC paper, fully recyclable and compostable, and built to withstand real retail and distribution conditions. It's a clear example of designing out plastic at the source rather than managing it downstream. No new collection infrastructure required, no behaviour change asked of the consumer, just a material substitution that keeps the supply chain moving and keeps plastic out of it entirely. Circular Finance Event: How investors and lenders can minimise risk & identify circular investment opportunities.
