  • Healthy longevity is shaped by more than the passing of time. It is influenced by the questions we ask, the decisions we make, and the actions we take along the way. Science can provide direction. Data can provide clarity. But meaningful change begins with understanding your health and knowing what to do with that knowledge. Because healthy longevity is not about pursuing perfection. It is about making informed choices that support your health, today and in the years ahead. • Chi Longevity was honoured to join The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. at its Re-Nutriv Skin Longevity Institute event in Taipei, where Dr Shamandree Govender represented Chi in conversations at the intersection of healthy longevity, skin health, and systemic wellbeing. Sharing the stage with Estée Lauder's global scientific and brand leadership, Stanford Dermatology, and respected voices across medicine, research, media, and culture, the discussion moved beyond beauty trends to a more important question: What does it mean to age well biologically, visibly, and systemically? The conversations reflected a shared commitment to evidence. Estée Lauder's long-standing investment in skin longevity research, including the biology of skin ageing and cellular function, reflects a broader shift in how skin is understood. Rather than being viewed solely through the lens of appearance, it is increasingly recognised as the body's largest organ and a visible reflection of broader aspects of health. This perspective closely aligns with how we approach healthy longevity at Chi Longevity. We recognise that metabolism, inflammation, hormones, sleep, stress, recovery, movement, and nutrition are deeply interconnected, shaping not only skin health but health over time. The panel and media discussions also highlighted the importance of translating scientific understanding into meaningful action, helping individuals better understand their health through an evidence-informed and personalised approach. We were honoured to contribute Chi Longevity's perspective to this regional conversation and to join organisations committed to advancing the science of healthy longevity.  #ChiLongevity #HealthyLongevity #HealthyAgeing #SkinHealth #PrecisionGeromedicine #LongevityMedicine #EvidenceBasedMedicine

  • Healthy longevity medicine is about more than living longer. In her latest interview with Asia MD, Prof. Andrea B. Maier shares why the future of healthcare lies not simply in adding years to life, but in adding life to years. This changes how we think about ageing. Rather than waiting until disease develops, precision geromedicine begins by understanding how ageing is unfolding in each individual. By combining biological, clinical, and digital measures, it becomes possible to build a more personalised understanding of health over time. As Prof. Maier explains, no single measure should ever be viewed in isolation. And while innovation continues to evolve, the strongest evidence still points to the foundations: structured exercise, nutrition, sleep, and mental wellbeing. She also highlights the importance of making precision geromedicine accessible, ensuring these approaches can support population health rather than only a small number of individuals. Healthy longevity is often mistaken for simply living longer. But the goal is not to add more years to life. It is to maximise the years we spend in good health. This shifts the conversation. Rather than measuring success by lifespan alone, healthy longevity focuses on maintaining physical function, cognitive health, resilience, and vitality over time. As Prof. Andrea Maier shares in this video, healthy longevity is about maximising the period of life spent in optimal health, feeling better and doing better each day. Because healthy longevity is not defined by age alone. It is about living with greater resilience, vitality, and wellbeing throughout the years ahead. Healthy longevity extends beyond a single workout. It is shaped by how we move, recover, nourish, and care for ourselves over time. Now located within Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, SPARKD by Chi Longevity is part of a holistic wellness experience where movement, recovery, and nutrition come together to support long-term health and wellbeing. Because supporting healthy longevity isn't about one moment. It's about the choices we make every day. #ChiLongevity #SPARKD #HealthyLongevity #HealthyAgeing #FourSeasonsSingapore

  • Two people can be the same age, yet age very differently. This was one of the themes explored during a recent session with members of the Rotary Club of Singapore at Chi Longevity. Guests began the event with a series of assessments at our Camden clinic, offering insight into aspects of biological ageing, physical function, and cognitive performance. Building on these experiences, Dr Naras Lapsys shared perspectives on how ageing is influenced by a combination of biology, lifestyle, and environment, and why understanding these differences has become increasingly important in the pursuit of healthy longevity. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Singapore for joining us for an engaging discussion on the science of ageing well. #ChiLongevity #HealthyLongevity #HealthyAgeing #BiologicalAge #Healthspan #Geroscience #LongevityMedicine

Try this exercise: sit on the floor and try getting up again without using your hands or knees, or even try standing on one leg with your eyes closed. The result should surprise you and actually says a lot about our long-term mortality. We tried it in our latest OpenHaus episode with Dr Andrea B. Maier, we spoke about ageing and what we are neglecting in our pursuit to extend our chronological age rather than our biological age. And that is the thing about ageing: it is not abstract, it is not something that starts at a certain birthday. We are ageing from the moment we are born. By 25, most of our organs have already begun to decline in function. But out of everything she shared, what stayed with me wasn't the science of ageing. It was how simple her advice actually was: get the basics right. We neglect our body's needs, developing habits that harm us. We cut sleep short, snack on sugar-laden foods, and sit for hours at desks, ignoring our need to move. What can we do better I asked her, and her answer was to take care of the basics. Take the stairs, go for walks, swap the processed snack for a carrot, start building muscle through bodyweight exercises, as simple as standing on one leg while brushing your teeth or holding a squat while reading a book. The key isn't intensity. It's consistency and understanding what your body needs. That hit close to home. I told her, almost proudly, that I'd just passed an echo treadmill test with flying colours. Everything normal. Her response stopped me in my tracks: "What does that really mean for your body? Did it tell you whether you're optimising for improvement, or just that you're not falling apart yet?" I'd never thought about it that way. And honestly, neither do most people I know. We celebrate "normal" without asking what lies beyond it. But here's the part that really reframed everything for me. Dr Maier said it isn't about how long we live. It's about how we live, and the quality of life we get to have in our old age. She put it simply: "I think about being happy today. How was my day today?" That single shift in perspective changed the whole conversation for me. We chase longevity numbers and are often pessimistic because of the undue stress we place ourselves under, but she was asking us to chase something simpler yet harder: a good day today, and then another tomorrow for a longer and better life. "Optimal" health can sound like something reserved for elite athletes. But Dr Maier would tell you it's not. It's available to anyone willing to be consistent and make the right choices for their health. She said eating carrots is a choice, and so is reaching for that bag of potato chips. Which will you make today? Maybe one day, her dream comes true: a CBD crowd walking to work with carrots in hand instead of coffee and pastries. Watch the full episode to find out how else you can optimise, not just maintain, your quality of life. Link in comments.

  • For decades, age has been treated as a number we cannot influence. Yet one of the most important shifts in healthy longevity science is the recognition that ageing is not experienced in the same way by every individual. People of the same chronological age can have very different biological ages, reflecting differences in physiology, lifestyle, environment, and resilience over time. This changes the conversation. The goal is no longer simply to count the years that have passed, but to better understand how the body is functioning today and how health may be supported over time. This is why biological age has become an important part of precision geromedicine. It provides another lens through which we can understand ageing, helping to inform a more personalised approach to healthy longevity. As Prof. Andrea B. Maier shares in this video, the body retains an inherent capacity for adaptation and resilience throughout life. Because healthy longevity begins with understanding that ageing is not one-size-fits-all.
