Many adults with ADHD know the feeling of waiting for life to be “together enough” before allowing themselves to rest, connect, or enjoy the present. This “I’ll be happy when…” pattern can keep people focused on a future that never quite arrives. For ADHD brains, the pressure to earn rest through productivity can make executive function challenges even harder to manage. @Katherine Sanders, PhD, PCC, explores how ADHD, cultural messages about productivity, and the myth of “catching up” can keep adults stuck—and why rest, support, and small accommodations are not indulgences, but essential tools for daily life. https://lnkd.in/eSi9-mtj #ADHD #ADHDlife #adhdadult #ratrace #burnout

A new population-based study from Hong Kong found no increased autism or ADHD risk in sibling-matched analyses of prenatal acetaminophen exposure. The study also highlights the value of negative control analyses, which can help researchers better understand whether observed associations may be explained by maternal health, family, or other confounding factors. Expectant parents should always consult their healthcare provider about medication use. https://lnkd.in/eyd49wB6 #ADHD #Autism #MaternalHealth #HealthResearch #PublicHealth
