For Carpet One Floor & Home Tallahassee, Florida, the story began in 1961 when Lynn Wollschlager opened Tallahassee's very first specialized flooring store, The Carpet Shop, Inc. Lynn built the business on honesty and expert service, and the community fell in love. To bring even more value to his customers, the shop made a pivotal move in 1987 by joining our cooperative family at Carpet One Floor & Home. This gave the local team national buying power while keeping their community-first heart. While the showroom has moved and the team has grown, their core promise hasn't budged since day one. Today, that legacy is stronger than ever. The store is proudly owned and operated by Lynn's son, david wollschlager, along with his wife and son.
