We’re excited to announce the open-source release of VulnHunter, an agentic security tool we built in-house to help organizations protect their codebases against AI-driven threats. Advanced AI models have made it easier and faster for bad actors to discover and exploit vulnerabilities in software. We decided that the right response wasn't to wait, but to build new AI-driven defenses and put them in the hands of defenders everywhere. VulnHunter, which leverages the strong reasoning capabilities of Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.8 and Claude Code, represents a shift in defensive tooling because it’s designed to solve for developer friction: it takes novel technical approaches that aim to reduce false positives and shift from simply finding a problem to helping developers actively solve it.
