Earlier this year, teams from BZ spent time volunteering with two fantastic local charities: Leaves Breathe and Euston Foodbank. At Leaves Breathe, our team helped with gardening work at an elderly care centre in Bermondsey, maintaining the outdoor spaces and helping to create a pleasant environment for residents to enjoy. We also volunteered at Euston Foodbank, supporting an organisation that provides vital assistance to individuals and families facing hardship across the local community. As with our previous volunteering initiatives, it was important for us to contribute in a practical and meaningful way. By giving our time directly, we were able to support the day-to-day work of both charities and see first-hand the positive impact they have on the people they serve. What stood out most was the dedication and commitment of the staff and volunteers. Their efforts make a real difference and it was a privilege for our team to play a small part in supporting their work. Thank you to Leaves Breathe and Euston Foodbank for welcoming us and for the important work you do. #BZ #GivingBack

At SmithNovak’s Mid Market Europe 2026 conference on 21 May, Peter Jaffe joined a panel discussion exploring how asset based finance can help address the European mid market funding gap. A key theme of the discussion was the important distinction between asset based finance (ABF) and asset based lending (ABL), a difference that is often misunderstood in the market. #BZ #PrivateCredit #AssetBasedLending #ABL #SmithNovak

Ben Milner, Duncan Maybury and Ross Stewart will be attending SFNet’s International Lending Conference in London on 19–20 May. This year’s agenda focuses on cross border transactions and the challenges of operating across jurisdictions. Sessions will cover multi country restructurings, evolving European regulation and the practical realities of structuring and monitoring international facilities. The growing role of technology and data in credit processes is also a key theme. Against this backdrop, asset based lending continues to play an increasingly central role within private credit, particularly where flexibility, structuring expertise and multi jurisdictional capability are critical. We look forward to engaging with industry peers across the two days. #SFNet #AssetBasedLending #PrivateCredit #StructuredFinance
