Another year complete in this unfolding miracle. Happy 6-year anniversary to BreezeLab. Every anniversary, alongside the gratitude, prayer, praise, validation, & the quiet celebration, I imagine the year to come. Naturally, what comes to mind is a mix of thoughts & feelings. And I usually wonder - will I be here next year. Over the years, stage by stage, I had demonstrated the work can be done. I had proven that the work was of value. I was able to articulate clearly the work & the value it contributes. I was able to continually build on progress to create new value. Now 6 years in one outstanding foundational question needed to be answered - is it a sustainable business as the market is today & the forseeable? Sustainability is an inevitable challenge that is continually being tackled. Little did I know the scale of what lay ahead this time a year ago. Business alone is tough. But business is part of life. And it is life that will determine the outcomes - including business outcomes. Life is not a day job. The past year, that inevitable encounter with the question of business sustainability formed part of what seems now like an inevitable difficult encounter with the system. It had been brewing for a while. Inevitable given my identity, positioning, & my declaration - 'yes I can continue to move beyond limits'. What can I say: It's all part of a bigger process. It will test your physical & mental stamina - so practice self care. It will test your heart - so do the right thing. It will test you emotionally - so be in command of the meanings formed & narrative spun so you aren't weighed down. It will act through others - so your battle is not with them. It will try & tangled you up in drama - so keep your eye on the outcome. It will try & reshape your reality - so be mindful of the beliefs you form. It will test your faith - so seek greater wisdom & guidance. I believe more than ever now that there is a beautiful but complex truth that sits within, around, & above it all. And that the intention driving it all is good. A good place to be. This year starts with praise. The unfolding miracle continues. It will surely end in praise. Cheers. #ThankGod #Anniversary 🙏🏿

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Teammate Onyinyechi Abah for completing her Youth Service 🎉 I was happy to hear the excitement in your voice when I called that morning & lovely to see how you were still buzz during our meetings the following day. This is all fitting of the achievement. I remember the dream you expressed in 2019 when we first met. Well, you realised your goal of becoming a qualified nurse & started strongly along your path as a health researcher. You are building your dream through your effort one day at a time 🚀 Nigeria is proud of your service 🇳🇬 BreezeLab is proud to have provided your placement for your service ✨️ Your project during your service, CMHSQ, will be a wonderful contribution to better mental health ✅️ And, you did all this while pregnant & in maternity 💪🏿 Baby Nmachukwu surprised us all & we scrambled you into maternity leave. It's bettersweet that we find ourselves wishing farewell to a loved & valued Teammate - Ekana Eneje You were there during an important part of BreezeLab's early development - at a point where we were laying the basic foundations of our work and, importantly, our work culture. Your contributions throughout your time at BreezeLab made us better. Though you will be missed, we are thrilled about your onward travel to a new opportunity. I'm so excited about the Common Mental Health Stressors Questionnaire (CMHSQ) - a questionnaire seeking to generate an understanding of the day to day challenges to mental health & emotional wellbeing experienced by Nigerians. We hope the insights from the questionnaire will spark much needed focused conversation about mental health in Nigeria and contribute to raising the awareness about the everyday needs and efforts to keep oneself well. With currently over 1,400 responses evenly distributed across all 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, CMHSQ is reaching its target and will soon be complete. I'll not say much more about CMHSQ because our health research at BreezeLab, and the CMHSQ project lead, Onyinyechi Abah, and her CMHSQ internal collaborator Ugo Aghanenu, will soon be sharing much more. However, I will express how thrilled I am with where the project is at, because it's been an epic journey getting to this point. A journey that included research design & conceptual development, questionnaire design, storyboarding, video creation & editing, the taking of courses on data analysis, careful consideration of how the data/information will be shared with different audiences along different channels, and lots of debate and discussion on research ethics and our duty of care along the way. All this alongside the actual delivery of a questionnaire that aims to get an evenly distributed response from all parts of Nigeria. Let me just say, that was a lot of hard work - all done to a high standard of thoroughness. Impressive dedication to something we are passionate about at BreezeLab. So, kudos to Onyi & Ugo for the huge effort. We are all looking forward to working with the data to generate the rich insights that I am sure will be a solid contribution to better mental health & emotional wellbeing in Nigeria. I will say one more thing - CMHSQ is being delivered as part of the national youth service of project lead, Onyi. A wonderful contribution from a productive young person.
