  • Restoring wetlands and strengthening resilience.   BKF joined the County of Marin to celebrate the completion and ribbon cutting of the Bolinas Wye Wetland Restoration Project, an important investment in environmental resilience and community safety. Our team provided construction management and inspection services to help deliver this complex project, supporting coordination, environmental compliance, and construction through completion.   The project restores the historic wetlands and floodplain of Lewis Gulch Creek, improves habitats for sensitive wildlife, strengthens resilience to sea level rise, and enhances public safety through the realignment of Olema Bolinas Road and the construction of a new bridge.    Congratulations to the Marin County Parks and Public Works Department, and thank you to the Wildlife Conservation Board, California State Coastal Conservancy, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, and local partners whose collaboration made this project possible.  Heidi Nelkie #BKF #MarinCounty #NorCalResilience
