  • PFAS sample preparation is rarely one-size-fits-all. Different EPA and USFDA methods can require different extraction and clean-up strategies depending on the matrix and analytical goals. Our PFAS consumable selection guide compares common approaches and highlights key factors to consider when building or optimizing your workflow. 🌱 Read the full guide: https://hubs.ly/Q04lw-1Q0

  • High-throughput environmental SVOC analysis comes with its share of challenges, from background contamination and carryover to maintaining reproducible recoveries at scale. In this on-demand webinar, our experts share practical strategies for optimizing EPH fractionation and TPH cleanup workflows using automated SPE, helping laboratories improve productivity, reduce solvent consumption, and achieve consistent results. 🌱Watch the on-demand webinar: https://hubs.ly/Q04lx0xJ0

  • As peptide synthesis workflows evolve, the question is no longer only whether a solvent works, but whether it works efficiently and sustainably. In this blog, we evaluate binary solvent mixtures in automated SPPS and show that method optimization can reduce solvent use while maintaining strong performance. It is a useful reminder that greener chemistry can still be compatible with robust automation. Discover which binary solvent mixtures can support more efficient and sustainable SPPS in the full blog written by our Application Scientist, Symone Stribling: https://hubs.ly/Q04lxrR00

  • Are you sacrificing protein yield for convenience? Magnetic beads are widely used for small-scale protein purification, but challenges with binding efficiency can impact protein recovery. In this white paper, we compare PhyTip® columns with magnetic beads, filter plates, and spin columns to evaluate protein recovery and performance at small scale. The results show that PhyTip® columns achieved higher protein recovery across multiple test conditions and higher yields across tested concentrations. Still using traditional liquid-liquid extraction for routine sample preparation? Biotage ISOLUTE SLE+ is designed to make extraction cleaner, faster, and easier to standardize. Instead of manually mixing and separating liquid phases, the aqueous sample is supported on a solid material and analytes are eluted with an organic solvent. Key benefits include: ✅Cleaner extracts for LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and other analytical workflows ✅Reduced matrix interference from proteins and phospholipids ✅No emulsion formation ✅Less manual handling compared with conventional LLE ✅Suitable for manual, 96-well plate, and automated workflows ✅Available in formats covering small to larger sample volumes For laboratories working with LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, bioanalysis, forensic testing, pharmaceutical research, food analysis, or other aqueous sample matrices, ISOLUTE SLE+ offers a more practical and reproducible alternative to conventional LLE.

  • Clinical laboratories are under increasing pressure to deliver faster, more reliable results, without increasing workload. Yet many LC-MS/MS workflows still rely on manual sample preparation steps that are time-consuming and prone to variability. In her latest blog, Monika Vezse, EMEA Market Segment and Application Lab Manager, AT & Diagnostics, discusses a recent study from Semmelweis University that evaluated the automation of LC-MS/MS sample preparation workflows for urinary cortisol and serum SDMA analysis. The findings showed that automated workflows can match manual performance while improving reproducibility and reducing hands-on time, which is an important step for laboratories looking to scale efficiently and standardize processes.
