Barminco employees at our Hazelmere Office celebrated NAIDOC Week by contributing to a shared artwork, guided by First Nations artist Tamara "Tammie" Hayden. Through our partnership with Binar Futures, employees were invited to help create a collective piece reflecting our people, experiences and values while recognising and celebrating the rich history, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Amy Botterill, Superintendent Social Performance, said, "This is a meaningful opportunity to connect with NAIDOC Week, contribute to a shared cultural expression, and be part of something that reflects and respects the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we operate." The collaborative artwork reflects the spirit of this year's NAIDOC Week theme, 50 Years of Deadly, by celebrating culture, creativity, connection and the ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The program provides one-off grants of up to $5,000 to eligible community organisations located near our operational sites. TRANSAFE WA’s iNSTRUCKTA! Safe Truck Visit recently delivered its interactive program to students in Mount Magnet, near Ramelius Resources Limited's Dalgaranga Gold Project. Using a truck simulator, the program teaches students how to safely interact with heavy vehicles – an essential skill in regional communities where heavy transport is part of daily life. Regional communities play a vital role in Western Australia’s transport and mining networks, and we are proud to support initiatives that help build awareness and practical safety skills on our roads. Barminco has been working at the Dalgaranga Gold Project since 2024 and is committed to contributing to long-term, positive outcomes for the local community.

Barminco has secured a new underground mining services contract with Barrick Mining Corporation at the Fourmile Project in Nevada, USA, further strengthening our presence in the North American market. The contract will see us deliver underground development and related mining services over a 45‑month term from July 2026. Fourmile is located adjacent to the Goldrush Project, where we already operate for the Nevada Gold Mines joint venture between Barrick and Newmont Corporation.  This award reflects the continued confidence in our ability to deliver safe, productive outcomes, and we look forward to building on our partnership with Barrick. Following our recent contract award at the Bellevue Gold Project, we are pleased to introduce Jared Stephens as Barminco’s Project Manager. Jared has been with Barminco for four and a half years, most recently as Project Manager at the Agnew gold mine which is situated close to Bellevue. He joined the mining industry in an entry-level role, after completing his apprenticeship. He learned the fundamentals, progressing through the operational ranks before becoming a Jumbo Operator. But it wasn’t just the roles themselves that shaped Jared’s career, it was the moments along the way. Gaining his shift boss ticket was a turning point. So was the opportunity to work across a mix of operations from smaller crews through to larger, more complex sites. At Bellevue, Jared is looking forward to bringing a team together, setting expectations and ensuring everyone understands their role in delivering outcomes. “It’s a new client, a site of scale, and a great opportunity for the team to step up and show what we can deliver,” said Jared. On site, Jared’s focus is simple. He believes people do their best work when they understand what’s expected, are trusted to deliver, and are held accountable for outcomes. For him, the work matters and so does the way it’s delivered. Outside of work, he’s just as active. Spending time with family and getting out freediving, spearfishing and surfing. Having come through the operational pathway himself, Jared understands what it takes. That’s why supporting others to step up is a key part of how he leads. For anyone considering joining Barminco, his advice is straightforward, “Do it - working for a leading global underground mining company gives you opportunities you won’t find anywhere else.”

This week, we were pleased to host Shane Love MLA, Leader of The Nationals WA and Shadow Minister for Mines and Petroleum, along with members of The Nationals WA, for a tour of our Hazelmere facility. Established in Western Australia more than 36 years ago, Barminco has grown into a global leader in hard rock underground mining services, with Hazelmere being a key hub for developing our people and supporting our operations worldwide. The group toured our state-of-the-art training facility, where employees develop critical underground mining skills in a safe, controlled and realistic environment. They also visited our central maintenance workshop, which supports one of the world’s largest single-company-owned fleets of underground mechanised equipment, and our integrated warehouse and supply chain operations. Thank you to Shane Love MLA and The Nationals WA for taking the time to visit and learn more about our operations.
