Image of the Week! This week, imagery from the AFR Satellite highlights Port Sudan, a strategically important coastal city along the Red Sea and Sudan’s primary maritime gateway. Its location near one of the world’s busiest shipping corridors makes it vital for international trade, logistics, and regional connectivity between Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. The imagery showcases urban settlements, port infrastructure, surrounding arid terrain, and coastal waters using NCC (Natural Color Composite) and FCC (False Color Composite) band combinations. NCC provides a near-realistic view of the region, while FCC enhances land-water boundaries, vegetation, and surface features for improved analysis and interpretation. The area marked (A) contains coastal and inland water features associated with Port Sudan’s urban and port environment. Variations in water color are visible due to differences in water depth, seabed characteristics, suspended materials, and the satellite’s spectral response. Stay tuned for more breathtaking views from around the world every week! #AzistaSpace #AFR #AFRSatellite #EarthObservation #SatelliteImagery #PortSudan #RedSea #MaritimeMonitoring | ISpA- Indian Space Association | APRIL - Advanced Pixel Research & Intelligence Lab

A proud achievement of APRIL - Advanced Pixel Research & Intelligence Lab team, which has completed the project in record time and is en-route with more challenges. We thank iDEX Defence Innovation Organization & Forge Innovation & Ventures for their unwavering support and mentorship.
🛰️⚓ Fragmented databases and disconnected agency systems delay maritime intelligence response — leaving imagery and target information scattered precisely when rapid decision-making is essential. 💡 To counter this, AZISTA INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED is delivering NITIN — an AI-enabled platform for the Directorate of Naval Intelligence designed to transform the management, analysis, and dissemination of naval imagery and geospatial intelligence. 🧠 Developed under the iDEX - DIO framework, NITIN integrates two core components — Imagery Management Module (IMM) and Target Analysis Module (TAM) — supporting the complete lifecycle of intelligence acquisition, processing, storage, analysis, and dissemination across GeoTIFF and JP2 satellite imagery formats. 🌍 Built on a modular, scalable architecture, NITIN delivers: ✔️ Advanced imagery search by vessel name, coordinates, ship class, and mission parameters ✔️ Geospatial visualisation, multi-image overlay, and area-of-interest mapping ✔️ AI-powered vessel detection and intelligence extraction ✔️ Real-time collaboration and shared Geospatial Target Folders ✔️ Secure access controls, timed intelligence updates, and PDF/JPG/PNG report export 🌐 NITIN ensures imagery and target intelligence remain current, accessible, and mission-ready — across naval agencies and command headquarters. 🚀 Through Forge4Fauj, Azista is advancing NITIN toward operational induction — strengthening indigenous maritime intelligence capabilities for the Indian Navy.
