We welcome the publication of the vision for the future of account-to-account (A2A) payments in Australia by the A2A Payments Roundtable, providing a framework for the development of an industry roadmap. Our CEO, Andy White, said, “The publication of the vision is an important milestone for account-to-account payments in Australia and provides a clear reference point for industry to develop a roadmap for the future. Importantly, it creates an opportunity to bring all stakeholders together on priorities, outcomes and next steps.” AusPayNet will make decisions on the future of BECS, taking into consideration the output and recommendations of the industry roadmap work by the A2A Payments Roundtable. Australian Payments Network (AusPayNet) is the self-regulatory body for Australia's payments industry.
About us
We are the self-regulatory body set up by the payments industry to improve the safety, reliability, equity, convenience and efficiency of the Australian payments system. We are the home for collaboration and cross-industry innovation. We play an important role in driving continuous improvement, bringing together members and a growing number of new stakeholders. Moreover, in our role as champion of the payments system, we help the payments network to thrive. Our network of 120 organisations spans a wide range of participants with varying levels of involvement. In April 2017, we announced that the Australian Payments Clearing Association (APCA) had changed its name to Australian Payments Network Limited. The rebrand is part of the company’s repositioning to more effectively meet the needs of the changing payments landscape. Yesterday, AusPayNet staff volunteered to spend the day at Pocket City Farms, a charity which empowers communities through education to improve the natural environment through sustainable thinking and action. Their experience sparked great conversations across the team and highlighted how small, everyday action can make a meaningful impact. Sustainability is something we embrace in our daily practices at our head office, with initiatives including recycling and composting programs, alongside opportunities throughout the year to learn more about environmental topics such as beekeeping and food waste. A big thank you to the team at Pocket City Farms for sharing their knowledge and passion with us 🌿 #LifeAtAusPayNet #PocketCityFarm #AusPayNet
