We're honoured to partner with BBC's PHARE by providing our free music creation platform to emerging musicians and our NEXUS SDK and Hub for music app, plugin and game creation. Huge congratulations to Manon Dave and Edward Fotheringham and the BBC R&D team on PHARE being recognized in the UK government's Turn It Up plan! The £45M government backing for 2,000 music projects validates a core belief: the music industry's future depends on infrastructure that serves creators first, not intermediaries. So cool to be building the on-ramp that emerging musicians deserve together with BBC R&D, TYXstudios, and next to the legendary Trinity Laban, Royal Northern College of Music and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Introducing, TrueRights, SoundDeal, and other partners. Let's build. Let's create. Let's turn it up. 🔊 #PHARE #TurnItUp #MusicTech #CreatorEconomy
🚀 The Department for Culture, Media and Sport said #TurnItUp so thats exactly what I plan to do with #PHARE!! My team and I are delighted and honoured to have been named by Lisa Nandy MP as an example of the kinds of initiatives that the #DCMS intend to back from the £45 million fund they plan to deploy to 2000 music projects over the coming 3 years. 🔥 🎹 Born out of a vision to support young musicians embarking on education and / or careers in #music, me and my team #FutureWorldDesign team at BBC R&D established PHARE as an initiative to build a smoother on-ramp to the industry. We’ve been ecstatic about how the initiative has been received so far, and we’re keen to get our pilot up and running over the coming year. 👊 We hope to reach and help some of the most talented young musicians in the UK through partners including Trinity Laban, Royal Northern College of Music, and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and offer them tools and services to create and protect their music, thanks to our technology and creative services partners, including Audiotool, TrueRights, and TYXstudios. With the support of bodies like Music Industries Association and the BBC’s own discovery platform #Introducing , we hope to raise awareness for young people in music and usher in a new era of creative excellence from the UK. 🙏 A huge thank you to everybody who has supported us so far, and please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or my partner-in-crime, Edward Fotheringham, if you’d like to discuss more about PHARE or partner with us to make the music industry an easier place to navigate and thrive! 🌸 On a personal note, many of the partners here have been instrumental in helping my wife and I establish the #MaiaDaveScholarship - a scholarship in the name of our late daughter, enabling young women to pursue music-related arts and technology degrees with a full one-year scholarship. Thank you to #RNCM and #TrinityLaban in particular for working with us to honour Maia. 🙏 🌍 More to come soon, but read more about some aspects of PHARE here: https://lnkd.in/eb6wdAY2
