Fashion Innovation Day 2026 showcased what happens when fashion companies, researchers and entrepreneurs work together to solve real industry challenges. Maria Martin-Montalvo opened the day highlighting ISEM’s commitment to building bridges between innovation and business. That spirit shaped both the morning insights and the afternoon sessions. We explored three complementary perspectives through the talks of Victor Martinez de Albeniz, Carlos Molina del Rio and Rosa Fernandez-Velilla Peña; bringing together strategy, emerging tech and the role of AI in shaping new capabilities for the sector. In the afternoon, our advocate companies (AWWG, BIMBA Y LOLA, boboli, Camper, DESIGUAL, T2T | Together 2 Transform and TENDAM) evaluated solutions from startups tackling real operational, environmental and technological challenges: Averiun, DELFI IA A LA MODA, Drelife, ecoDoers, Fashion Myway, Kimera Technologies and Protect Clothes NOB166. Congratulations to Nob166, winner of the Most Innovative Mention 2026, for its protective textile biocides, a technology with clear potential to improve product durability, hygiene and performance across multiple fashion segments. Events like this strengthen ISEM’s mission: connecting companies with innovative solutions that can be transferred to the industry today, not tomorrow.
