The deeper we get into the tech world, the more we understand the importance of code security. Every week, we hear about breaches affecting billion-dollar companies and even governments. Beyond the privacy issues, they can cause serious structural damage. (I’ve just rotated half our 52 environment variables, ifykyk.) At the same time, AI is breaking many glass ceilings, allowing the team to build and respond to opportunities faster than ever. But that comes with a downside: platforms are being shipped with vulnerabilities that teams don’t fully understand yet. Since prevention is always better than cure, we asked our development and AI implementation partner, Impulse Lab, to take a step back and audit all the code we’ve pushed since we started working together. One year, 45 vulnerabilities. Mostly benign, still better to discover them now than later. Impulse Lab combines strong technical capabilities with flexible execution, and the CYTO platform is living proof of that. Whether you’re looking to assess your platform’s vulnerabilities in this new environment or build AI features, I can confidently say that Impulse Lab will over-deliver. Thank you, Leonard Roussard and Michel M., now back to work.

#CambioAngola #TaxaDeCambio #FinancasAngola #PMEsAngola #BancosAngola #MercadoInformal #CYTO #Produto #Feedback

Speaking Announcement 🇩🇿 CYTO was invited by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-entreprises of Algeria, the PNUD Algérie , to speak at the AfricaStartupConference 2025, held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic. Our team will be participating in 2 panels: 1. Masterclass, 10h00 – AI Startup Studio Craft the Idea, Problem–Solution Fit + MVP Design A hands-on session with students and founders, where we break down how to move from problem clarity to a first, intelligent MVP using AI. It is part of the immersive startup journey curated by Timbuktoo and UNDP, guiding participants through ideation, validation, and rapid prototyping. 2. Timbuktoo Series Panel, 14h00 – Future Builders: AI, Green Tech & Beyond A forward-looking conversation on the frontier of African innovation. We will explore how AI and emerging technologies can shape new economic models, build resilient ecosystems, and unlock continental-scale opportunities. Both moments happen alongside the inauguration of the Timbuktoo AI UniPod in Algiers, a milestone designed to empower innovators across Africa and strengthen our shared capacity to build, test, and scale solutions. We are deeply grateful for the trust of the organizing institutions. Their commitment to raising African champions feels real, structural, and urgent. If you are curious about what we are building at CYTO and how we are reshaping financial infrastructure in Africa, this is a great time to connect, in the Timbuktoo UNDP booth or via the following link: https://linktr.ee/appcyto

Is the Africa we want, the Africa we need? 🌍 This was the question raised on the sidelines of the AU-EU Summit in Luanda, where CYTO was invited to share its experience as an Angolan startup participating in the timbuktoo Africa program. During the panel "Why investing in children and young people is key to economic empowerment and harnessing Africa’s demographic dividend," we highlighted that while we often defend the idea abroad that Africa is heterogeneous. We, as young Africans, tend to overlook this when addressing the challenges of our own demography. This is where timbuktoo Africa played a key role, triggering the mindset shift we needed at CYTO. Meeting founders from across the continent. Founders who had faced problems we are facing. Sharing solutions, mistakes, and perspectives showed us the true value of this diverse archipelago that is Africa. This is why we believe so strongly in timbuktoo Africa and its purpose to strengthen continental networks. The best part of the panel was meeting our co-panelists, Francisca Quissassa and Teresa Capilo, two brave women who are giving a loud and clear voice to the Deaf and Blind communities in Angola. Hearing their stories and seeing how they are concretely advocating for a more inclusive Angola was truly inspiring. They deserve all the support in the world. None of this would be possible without the work of UNICEF Angola, UNDP Angola, and timbuktoo Africa. We are grateful to be part of this journey. Yesterday, CYTO joined global Heads of State in New York, at the UN's Global Africa Business Initiative’s flagship summit - Unstoppable Africa 2025 Organized by the United Nations Global Compact alongside the United Nations's 80th General Assembly, the summit brought together over 4,000 participants and 10+ Heads of State, Government, and NGOs. Last year, our co-founder Joachim Valot pitched CYTO’s vision to digitalize and automate financial operations for African businesses. Link to Pitch: https://lnkd.in/e4sEQx6d This year, our co-founder Thiebault Husson represented CYTO - meeting leaders, clients, and innovators from across the continent. ✨ A highlight was the “Silicon Valley meets Digital Africa” panel, led by Ahunna Eziakonwa, UNDP's Regional Director. We are deeply grateful for her leadership and support through UNDP’s timbuktoo Africa accelerator, and we continue working together on building the UNDP Angola Hub - a key step to help African startups scale with speed and impact. Key themes and conclusions: • Fintech as a driver of financial inclusion across Africa • The need for regulatory harmonization to unlock cross-border growth • The rise of cleantech, healthtech, and agritech as pillars of Africa’s sustainable future Unstoppable Africa reminded us that Africa’s innovation journey is bold, fearless, and limitless - and at CYTO, we’re proud to be building the financial infrastructure to power it.
