With: -structure and training -CPD opportunities -supervision and care of the team -profiling with regular reviews -thorough assessments: ensuring we are the best fit for the referrals received and politely declining where we don't think we are the best option for someone. - A superbly proactive and responsive office team who keep things running beautifully behind the scenes It is hard however, to capture the passion for people (colleagues, clients, strangers yet to be friends) , incredible lived and professional experience and utterly powerful force that our CEO Anneka Nash leads with. Her drive is inspiring and motivating and so infectious , her achievements are many - yet she stays humble and grateful to everyone and is moved by the lives we are privileged to support. Today , after a few weeks of work , an out of area placement was avoided for a young person who wanted desperately to come home to Lincolnshire. Imagine being over 3 hours away from your family and facing the possibility of not being allowed to return to them. A desktop review followed by a long drive to a hospital for what turned into a 3 hour relaxed assessment ( clients choice we had lots of fun) , reports and plans submitted and thankfully the green light from ICB and SS was given - First stop is the Respite lodge to decompress after several months in hospital and whilst suitable housing is identified then onwards and upwards to their first own home. I shared this because I saw Annekas post and I thought that humanisation is often missing as people progress in their careers , and that is why Annicare is different - I've shared a photo of myself and one of our Service Managers Olivia welcoming our young person back home to Lincolnshire. It was a truly beautiful and positive day ❤️ Annekas Post: Today has been the peak of my career, Annicare does some pretty amazing things and today my 2 greatest loves collided and it’s been nothing short of perfect. A Leaving care placement coupled with continued care with Annicare I hope gives the perfect blend to support our young person to have the best outcomes they can. Giving them some roots, a place of safety and comfort, a sprinkling of support and tons of care and kindness - I saw today why I still love what we do. I’m so grateful I get do this for my job and try and give people the best opportunities possible in life, when perhaps the cards they’ve had haven’t been the best. Thank you to every person who made this possible it’s really a dream come true for me. 💕
