From there, "if I change this tag, what breaks?" is a single click. The demand for this has been sitting on AVEVA's own feedback forums for years. IKG is our answer, built by a team that's lived inside the PI installed base for 30 years. And we're already adding a Model Context Protocol layer, so an AI assistant can answer those same impact questions in plain language. A little different from our usual product news today 🥾 Last week the Amitec Bergen team swapped screens for hiking boots and took on our yearly trek from Ulriken to Fløyen. Seven kilometres across the mountain plateau, a fair bit of Bergen weather, and some of the best views this city has to offer. There's something about getting out of the office and onto the trail together that you can't replicate in a meeting room. Grazie, Milano. AVEVA World 2026 is a wrap, and we're heading home with sore feet, new friendships, and a notebook full of ideas we didn't expect to leave with. Thanks to AVEVA and our valued partner Waterfall Security Solutions! Three moments stood out for us this week, three stages, three very different stories about what's actually possible when industrial data gets the operational layer it deserves. Raffinerie Heide, with Andreas Asmus, took the audience inside what it really looks like to modernise a refinery's PI landscape. Bringing Process Book to PI Vision, without leaving custom extensions behind and bringing energy management to the next level with our Amitec Energy:Center. Grace, with Tobias Wilden, walked through something most plants would love to have running quietly in the background: Automated daily production booking from the AVEVA PI System straight into SAP, as part of a global MRP rollout at their Düren site. The result is daily production booking with significantly less manual effort, and a real bridge between plant operations and SAP-based planning. We are happy to be part of this project! And our Frederik Weber got to walk through Amitec Energy:Center. How production, utility, and energy data come together into one financial picture, and why the gap between "we have the data" and "we have a business case" is smaller than most teams think. Add to that three full days at the booth, PI Vision audits with reVision, scheduled reports straight out of PI Vision with VisionPulse, and SMS Notifier quietly doing what it's been doing since 2009, and it's safe to say Milan earned its keep. The conversations we valued most weren't the feature ones. They were the messy operational ones. The AF servers grown organically over a decade, the displays nobody is fully sure are still correct, the alerts that get lost in inboxes, the energy reports rebuilt from scratch every quarter. That's the work. And it's the work we're here for.
