Updates

  • A consequential quarter for Aker, marked by significant value realization, strong portfolio performance, and increased financial flexibility. 🔹 Net Asset Value increased by close to NOK 40 billion in the first half after dividends, reaching NOK 106 billion 🔹 Total shareholder return reached 10 percent in the quarter and 53 percent in the first half, outperforming the OSEBX 🔹 Landmark agreement to sell Cognite to Schneider Electric at an enterprise value of USD 3.1 billion, lifting Aker's liquidity reserve above NOK 20 billion 🔹 Continued extraordinary growth in Nscale, while Aker BP marks ten years of value creation 🔹 Offer announced to take Aker BioMarine private More details in our CEO Øyvind Eriksen's post below and at www.akerasa.com.

This morning, I presented Aker ASA's results for the second quarter and first half of 2026, a quarter that has been nothing less than consequential for us. Total shareholder return reached 10 percent in the quarter and more than 53 percent for the half year, well ahead of the OSEBX.   It has been an active first half of the year, with several defining moments. We have realized significant value through the sale of Cognite. Nscale continues to scale at extraordinary speed. Aker BP ASA marks ten years of value creation and remains exceptionally well positioned. And this morning, we announced an offer to take Aker BioMarine ASA private.   The offer gives shareholders an attractive and certain cash alternative, while preserving the flexibility to keep building long-term value as part of Aker. Demand for omega-3 keeps growing while supply stays tight, and few companies are better positioned to seize that than Aker BioMarine.   These highlights, taken together, leave Aker in a stronger position, with a more focused portfolio, net debt close to zero, and greater capacity to invest than we have had in years, and the discipline to back the few opportunities where we can make a real difference.   My quarterly letter goes deeper on all of this. Thank you to our employees, partners, and shareholders for your continued trust and support. With that, I wish you all a restful summer.

  • Aker ASA and the other shareholders of Cognite has signed an agreement to sell Cognite to Schneider Electric, based on an enterprise value of USD 3.1 billion. The transaction will be the largest Norwegian software and AI exit to date and ranks among the largest industrial software transactions in Europe. Key transaction terms: 🔹Enterprise value: USD 3.1 billion 🔹Estimated cash proceeds to Aker (including settlement of outstanding convertible loan): USD 1.48 billion (equivalent to NOK 14.7 billion at USD/NOK 9.92) 🔹The transaction proceeds to Aker represents an uplift to the reported Net Asset Value (NAV) per Q1 2026 of NOK 7.4 billion or approximately NOK 100 per share The transaction considerably strengthens Aker’s financial position and investment capacity. Aker remains focused on developing investment opportunities across AI, industrial software, and AI infrastructure, including through existing portfolio holdings such as Nscale and Aize. • Humor gir energi. Her er resultatet 😊 Aker Solutions, Aker BP ASA, #HeiaNorge #RoRopet

  • At Aker, we are scaling AI across the entire organization, starting with our people. This week, Øyvind Eriksen and Aker's leadership team took a significant step forward, launching both the Aker Humanoid Robot and a new AI training program for all 20,000 employees across the Aker family. AI is already reshaping how we solve problems, make decisions, and collaborate.  The ambition is clear: build real AI capability at every level of the organization, ensuring everyone understands how AI is already being used, and how it will shape the way we work going forward.   Companies that lead tomorrow are the ones investing in their people today. • A record quarter for Aker — and one that marks a decisive shift in the shape of our portfolio. 🔹 Net Asset Value increased by NOK 43 billion, surpassing NOK 100 billion for the first time 🔹 Nscale is now Aker's second-largest asset at NOK 32 billion, following our investment in the Series C 🔹 Dividend of NOK 29 per share approved for payment in May 2026 Full details in our CEO Øyvind Eriksen's post below.   https://lnkd.in/d6DcmHSQ

This morning I presented one of the most pivotal quarters in Aker's history — performance of historical magnitude, and a period that materially changed the shape of our portfolio.   Net Asset Value increased by NOK 43 billion in three months (!), crossing NOK 100 billion for the first time. Our share price was up 39 percent. To put that into perspective: NAV stood at 18 billion when I joined Aker in 2009…   Beyond the record-breaking results, the numbers reflect something more fundamental.   In energy, a structural shift is underway: geopolitics are no longer episodic, but a persistent part of energy pricing. In artificial intelligence, it's no longer just about technology — it's about access to power, infrastructure, and capacity over time.   These are the forces repositioning Aker at the intersection of energy and AI. I can hardly think of a better point of departure for managing the uncertainties and opportunities ahead — and for generating even more value for Aker shareholders.   In my quarterly letter and today's presentation we go deep on the drivers of this next phase — including our investment in Nscale, one of the most significant and consequential moves we have made in years — as well as the strong development and value crystallization across the portfolio.   Full speed ahead! https://lnkd.in/dsz2QcJT

👉 Klikk her for å bidra: https://lnkd.in/eZGWGsmM

  • Last week, we kicked off the fourth cohort of Aker’s CXO Program. Participants from eight Aker companies have now begun a year-long journey centered on transformation, leadership, AI, personal development, and geopolitics. The ambition is clear: to develop leaders who build future-ready organizations – and to strengthen relationships and a shared leadership culture across Aker. A big thank you to Øyvind Eriksen, Kristian Røkke, and Kjetil Kristiansen for open, honest, and inspiring conversations on leadership at Aker, investments in new technologies, and our long-term strategy. Parts of the program took place at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet and the MUNCH Museum, where we explored the connections between music, the arts, and leadership. We believe leaders grow stronger by learning from environments beyond the traditional business context. This year’s participants: Laurence Janssens, Marte Dalsegg, Rolf Nystein, Petter Sørhaug, Kristine G., Rannveig Storebø, Alf Kristensen, Fredrik Hunstad, Jonas Gamre, Hunter Beck, Shaifali Gorakhpuri Bhatia, Laetitia Gharios, Kristian Risdal, Olav Høidalen, Ole Eirik Dalbye, and Izabela Hawryłko. We look forward to a year of change initiatives, hands-on work with AI, and continued development of Aker’s leadership culture.

Today, Aker presented its Q4 results, closing a year with strong momentum across the portfolio. In a year marked by decisive execution, our core industrial companies continued to deliver stable operations, solid cash flow and resilience. At the same time, we saw tangible progress in areas shaping the next phase of value creation – from industrial AI moving into everyday use, to rapid scale‑up of power‑efficient compute infrastructure, and real assets strengthening portfolio balance. With a NAV of NOK 67.3 billion after dividends and a total shareholder return of 49.5% for the year, Aker enters 2026 with a stronger foundation, clearer priorities and platforms positioned for long‑term demand.
