I sat in on an AI Insiders session hosted by the AI Marketers Guild (AIMG), where Adam Posner, Founder & President of NHP Talent Group, shared what hiring actually looks like in the age of AI. The biggest takeaway? 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴. Four things worth passing on: • AI fluency is becoming a baseline. You don’t need to know every tool. Employers want to see you using AI thoughtfully and staying curious enough to keep learning. • Authenticity matters more than ever. Recruiters can spot AI-rewritten resumes, inflated metrics, and skills you don’t actually have. AI can polish how you present your experience, not manufacture experience you never had. • Own your impact. Drop the “we.” Say what you contributed. Specific examples and meaningful qualitative outcomes often tell a stronger story than vague numbers. • Stay in the room. Conferences, workshops, and networking events keep you current and put you in front of people you weren’t planning to meet. Adam also shared the 3 Ps for following up: patient, polite, persistent. The line I’ll remember most: 𝗔𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻𝗲. Thank you, Adam Posner and the AI Marketers Guild (AIMG), for another insightful session. #AI #Marketing #CareerDevelopment

👉 FREE Job Seeker hack! ...or pro tip, whatever you want to call it: If you're on the job search, a great thing that you could do is look at the newsfeed on the right-hand side here. You see a relevant article, repost it on your feed with your expert thoughts. → Show me (the recruiter/hiring manager) that you are interested and you're up to date on your industry. When I'm working on a marketing role, I'll say to a candidate, "Sally, what do you do to stay up to date in the industry? What blogs are you following? What podcasts are you listening to? Like, how are you staying up to date on the trends? Are you going to any of the conferences? Are you following recaps from Cannes? What are you doing to stay in the know about what's happening and evolving in this industry?" Especially at the senior level, we wanna know that! Curiosity & constant learning is KEY! • How is AI reshaping the modern hiring process—and what challenges are emerging for both employers and job seekers? In this conversation, Adam Posner—veteran recruiter and podcast host—shares frank insights about how technology has changed everything from resume screening to networking. He talks about the dangers of generic, AI-generated resumes, the realities of applicant tracking systems, and why stuffing your CV with keywords can backfire in today’s high-volume, employer-driven market. Adam emphasizes the ongoing value of personal networking, real experience, and tailoring your outreach—skills that AI can’t replace. He addresses ageism, the debate over titles for consultants and former execs, and the truth about what recruiters actually look for when hiring. Key takeaways: - Why curiosity about AI is now a baseline expectation, not a bonus - How recruiters distinguish between real expertise and inflated claims - Why "adding value" in your approach significantly boosts your chances - Straight talk on ageism, resume authenticity, compensation, and more If you’re navigating today’s job market—or trying to attract top talent—this session delivers practical strategies, recruiter perspective, and unvarnished advice you won’t hear in generic webinars. Some key takeaways: • AI search adoption continues to grow, with more consumers beginning their discovery journeys through AI tools instead of traditional search • Visibility is no longer just about rankings. Metrics like share of citation, share of voice, and sentiment are becoming increasingly important • AI-generated results often surface unexpected competitors that may not appear in traditional search analysis • SEO, SEM, and AI optimization are converging into a broader visibility strategy • Brands that start measuring their AI presence now will be better positioned as search behavior continues to evolve Polly also demonstrated Gist's product suite, including Gist Geo, Gist Answers, and Gist Ads, and shared practical approaches for tracking brand performance across AI-generated results.
