Here is the video of the 72" concrete sewer pipe inspected using Flybotix's ASIO X. I used ASIO Explorer to overlay subtitles on to the inspection video. I also used Microsoft Clipchamp to edit the video. Not too shabby.

𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆: 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗢 𝗫 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲. Last week, we ran a proof of concept for a service provider specialising in internal inspections of wind turbine blades. The objective: test ASIO X's ability to fly inside a wind turbine blade and return high-quality inspection data. Both internal chambers of a 45m blade were inspected in approximately 10 minutes. The pilot operated from outside the turbine at 150m+ distance while two operators went inside and positioned the drone at the blade's entry point. 𝗡𝗼 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱. This approach completely changes the inspection time profile. With ASIO X's extended flight time and the blades in bunny-ear position (two blades up, one blade down), an experienced pilot can inspect two blades in a single hub lock on one battery charge. 𝗔𝘁 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹. The asset owner does not yet operate on a fixed internal inspection frequency. The target is at least once per year. The operational model demonstrated in this proof of concept makes that frequency viable where it previously was not. 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹? 📏📐🤔 In this video, we test it with something simple: an A4 sheet attached to the wall. The underground environment is captured with the drone and processed into a 3D photogrammetry model in ASIO Connect. Using the measurement tool, we check the dimensions directly on the digital twin. The result is straightforward: when the model is properly scaled, measurements match real dimensions. A simple validation, but an important one for anyone using photogrammetry in inspections.
