  • The term 'Adivasi' is derived from 'Adi' (original) and 'Vasi' (inhabitant), signifying that these communities are the first settlers and original inhabitants "'आदिवासी' हा शब्द 'आदी' (मूळ) आणि 'वासी' (रहवासी) या शब्दांपासून बनला आहे, ज्याचा अर्थ असा होतो की हे समुदाय पहिले स्थायिक आणि मूळ रहिवासी आहेत. #AdiYuva #AdivasiIdentity #TheMeaningOfAdivasi #OriginalInhabitants #FirstDwellers #Adivasi #IndigenousPeoples #TribalCulture #IndianHistory #AdivasiPride #IndigenousRoots #ourcultureourpride

We are honoured to have represented Adivasi Yuva Seva Sangh as a Chairperson and Guest Speaker for the Technical Session on “On Indigenous Knowledge System, Geographical Indication, Art and Culture” at the National Seminar hosted by Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur (MNLU), Nagpur. The theme, ‘The Adivasi Question in Contemporary India: Rethinking Culture, Identity and Indigenous Knowledge Systems,’ provided a critical platform to discuss the protection of our heritage. 🎨 Key Insights: IKS & Warli Painting During the Technical Session, had the opportunity to present on “Indigenous Knowledge System, IPR and Practices” using the specific case of Warli Painting and its Geographical Indication (GI) status. We must move beyond viewing tribal art as mere decoration and recognise it as a sophisticated system of knowledge that requires robust legal protection against cultural appropriation 🤝 Learning from Experts It was a privilege to share the stage and learn from esteemed seniors and academicians, including: Prof. Virginius Xaxa (Visiting Professor, IHD New Delhi), whose insights on Adivasi identity are foundational Prof. Dr.Sakharam Mujalde (HOD, School of Tribal Studies, DAVV Indore), who spoke on Adivasi Economy, Society, and Autonomy. Dr. Jitendra Meena (Assistant Professor, University of Delhi), who shared perspectives on the Adivasi Past and Future Adv. Bodhi Ramteke (Erasmus Mundus Scholar), who discussed Adivasi Rights and Constitutional Discourse. Adv. Lalsu Nagoti (Tribal Activist, Gadchiroli), who spoke powerfully on Adivasi resistance and identity. Dr. Suman Kumar (Assistant Professor, MGAHV Wardha), who provided academic depth on Adivasi Knowledge Systems. Seeing the energy and interest of young law students was truly inspiring. Thank you to the Centre for Tribal and Land Rights (CTLR) and the DPIIT-IPR Chair at DPIIT- IPR Chair, Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, MNLU Nagpur for the kind invitation and for fostering this essential dialogue. #AdivasiRights #IndigenousKnowledge #WarliPainting #IPR #SocialImpact #MNLUNagpur #adiyuva #LegalAwareness #TribalIdentity #GeographicalIndication #CulturalIdentity #SocialEntrepreneurship

  • They say "if you want to go far, go together."

They say "if you want to go far, go together." Recently attended the Social Impact Meet in Hyderabad, and the energy was truly infectious. In a sector where we often work in silos, this meet-up was a vital reminder that our collective impact is far greater than our individual efforts. Why this program stood out: • Diverse Ecosystem: It successfully bridged the gap between impact makers from different locations and professions—from grassroots leaders to policy enthusiasts. • Authentic Learning: It wasn't just "business card" networking; it was a space for sharing honest challenges and lived experiences. • Cross-Pollination of Ideas: Seeing how a tech professional's perspective can aid a field worker's mission was a highlight. Programs like these are the "connective tissue" our social sector needs to grow sustainably. A huge thank you to the organizers for facilitating such a meaningful Saturday! #GlobalGoals #SocialImpactHyderabad #TribalFuture #RuralDevelopment #NetworkingForGood

Scaling Indigenous Art through Modern Management we are proud to share that I recently represented the AYUSH Warli Painting Cluster (Adivasi Yuva Seva Sangh) at the Business Accelerator Program hosted by Indian Institute of Management Nagpur, supported by the Ministry Of Msme’s National SC ST Hub (NSSH). For our cluster, this wasn't just a training program—it was a strategic step toward taking the ancient heritage of Warli Art to a global commercial scale. Learning from the esteemed faculty at @IIM Nagpur has provided me with fresh perspectives on: Scalable Business Models for artisan clusters. Digital Transformation in the MSME sector. Market Linkages to ensure fair trade and sustainable livelihoods for tribal artists. A huge thank you to InFED, Indian Institute of Management Nagpur, and the Ministry Of Msme for creating a platform where grassroots Entrepreneurs / organizations can sharpen their professional edge. We are ready to implement these insights to empower our community further! #IIMNagpur #WarliArt #MSME #TribalEmpowerment #SocialEntrepreneurship #NSSH #AYUSH #AdivasiYuvaSevaSangh #ScalingImpact #WarliPainting #GeograpbhicalIndication

  • We at AYUSH Adivasi Yuva Shakti extends our heartfelt gratitude to #ArtforHope and Saurbah Sharma, Gunjan Tripathi for believing in the vision of preserving and promoting Tarpa—a living tradition deeply rooted in the tribal communities of North Sahyadri. Your support enabled us to take this work from aspiration to action, empowering tribal youth through experimental training programs and giving them the confidence to carry forward their cultural legacy. Seeing Bhikalya baba Dinda ji, one of the senior Tarapkari, receive the Padma Shri 2026 is a proud moment for all of us, and it reaffirms the importance of nurturing grassroots art forms before they fade away. This journey has shown us how collaborations between cultural initiatives and social organizations can create lasting impact. As we continue our work at the root level—training, documenting, and building awareness—we invite CSR partners, institutions, and individuals to join hands with us. Together, we can ensure that indigenous traditions not only survive but thrive, while also creating pathways of dignity and livelihood for tribal communities. Thank you once again for enabling us to walk this path with integrity and purpose. Let's do it together!
