We are People Who Build.

About us

At ADCO, we’ve been ‘people who build’ since our very first project back in 1972. In the 50 years since, we’ve grown to become one of Australia’s largest private builders. We remain 100% Australian-owned and are hugely proud of our heritage which has been steered by the values of family, trust and honesty. Each year, our national presence and commitment to excellence sees us entrusted to deliver many of Australia’s most iconic community projects. This includes state-of-the-art hospitals, schools, sporting facilities and major retail centres. Yet for all our growth and success, it isn’t the projects that define the ADCO Way. Rather, it’s the people and partnerships we build along the way that continue to make us the ‘builder of choice’ for our clients, our consultants, our contractors and our people. It’s also why we retain high levels of repeat business among major private and institutional corporates, as well as federal, state and local government agencies. Today, our award-winning capabilities extend across the complete non-residential construction sector including education, commercial, health, retail, aviation, leisure, aquatic, community, defence, rail and transport. Our projects are delivered via early contractor involvement, design and construct, managing contractor, and traditional construction methods of procurement. As we move into our second half-century, our foundations have never been stronger – nor our focus clearer. We’re excited to build the next generation of success for our clients, our people and, of course, the Australian communities we serve.

  • Last week we welcomed our people, trade partners, their families and representatives from Bond University for ADCO’s second Queensland Careers Day. Held at Bond University, the event gave school-aged students the opportunity to explore the many career pathways available in construction through panel discussions, interactive trade displays and firsthand insights from our people and industry partners. The day concluded with a tour of Bond University’s new Connections Precinct, a landmark project that will bring together the University’s Medical and Business programs and deliver a new 1,200-seat Great Hall for graduations and major community events. A big thank you to everyone who generously shared their time, experiences and expertise to help showcase the diverse and rewarding opportunities our industry offers. At ADCO, we are committed to creating pathways that encourage more young people to consider a career in construction and building the future workforce of our industry. | BULL Civil | Wadsworth | Amalgamated Group | New Edge Group | Boone & Willard Plumbing | PK Flooring, Inc. | Stowe Australia | CSQ Project Development Consultants | The BUSY Group | G. • Delivering major hospitality projects is about far more than constructing new spaces. It is about keeping a venue operating with minimal impact while transforming it. Our work at Wenty Leagues Club is a project we are incredibly proud of. Working in close partnership with the Club, ADCO delivered a $75 million extension and refurbishment through carefully planned staging that allowed members and guests to continue enjoying the venue throughout construction. The project delivered: 🔹 A three-level extension and major refurbishment. 🔹 A premium dining and entertainment precinct. 🔹 One of Sydney's largest commercial kitchen fit-outs. 🔹 New function and meeting spaces. 🔹 A 248-space basement and suspended carpark. 🔹 A grand new entry and the highly anticipated Char Steakhouse. Complex club projects demand more than construction expertise. They require detailed staging, strong stakeholder collaboration and a deep understanding of how to work safely and efficiently within a live operating environment. Protecting the member experience while delivering exceptional quality is critical to every decision made on site. Projects like Wenty highlight the type of fitout and refurbishment expertise now delivered through blue by ADCO, our newly established business specialising in these environments. Follow blue by ADCO on LinkedIn to stay up to date on our latest fitout and refurbishment projects. At ADCO, we are proud of our track record delivering major hospitality projects that bring our clients' long-term visions to life while allowing their businesses to continue operating. Enjoy the video from when we completed the project. | Buchan | #ADCO #bluebyADCO #HospitalityProjects #LiveEnvironment #ConstructionExcellence #Fitout #Refurbishment #NSWConstruction

  • The Multi‑Storey Warehouse for LaSalle Investment Management and Hale Capital Partners has reached completion, transforming an under-utilised site at Lidcombe in Sydney’s inner west into a premium logistics hub. The two‑level facility has been designed to support high‑performance logistics, warehousing and distribution operations within a tightly constrained urban environment. Spanning more than 40,000 m² and targeting a 5-Star Green Star outcome, the development comprises 10 fully self‑contained tenancies, each with independently operated and metered building services for flexible operation. A strong focus on buildability, operational efficiency and durability underpins the delivery, with integrated warehouse, office and hardstand solutions supporting long‑term tenant performance. #ADCO #Industrial #Warehousing #Logistics #DesignAndConstruct #NSW #PeopleWhoBuild

  • 50 years. A milestone shaped by strength, voice and resilience. For five decades, NAIDOC Week has celebrated the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme recognises the Elders, communities, artists and advocates who have led change, preserved culture and kept the momentum moving forward. NAIDOC Week has always been more than a moment. It is a platform for truth, a celebration of culture, and a reminder of the strength that comes when community leads. At ADCO, we recognise that acknowledgement must be backed by action. Through our second Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan, we are committed to creating meaningful and lasting change. This is embedded into how we operate: 🔹 Since FY21 our spend with First Nations businesses has increased significantly from $2.36million in the first reporting period to over $20 million annually. 🔹 A 20% increase in First Nations workforce hours recorded across our projects on the previous year. 🔹 Celebrating Culture and connection to Country with our clients and trade partners through education, meaningful discussions and direct engagement. 🔹 Creating real career pathways in partnership with KARI and Australian Trade Colleges providing practical exposure. This approach has seen our people thrive while also providing input into our RAP and cultural understanding within the business. These actions are helping strengthen partnerships, support pathways, and deepen connection to Country across the communities we are part of. We remain committed to learning, listening and taking action, guided by the voices and leadership of First Nations peoples. As we reflect on the past 50 years, we honour those who came before and commit to continuing the work supporting the next generation to grow up proud, connected and strong in culture. #ADCO #NAIDOCWeek #50YearsOfDeadly #Reconciliation #Community

  • Monash University has officially named its new Clayton campus student accommodation under construction “Larkins Hall”, honouring former Vice-Chancellor, Emeritus Professor Richard Larkins AC and his lasting contribution to the University and broader community. A distinguished medical researcher, educator and leader, Professor Larkins’ impact on Monash continues to be felt today, making this a fitting tribute. Progress is also taking shape on site, with the team recently visiting the Interpod factory alongside Monash University, Newbridge and JCB to see the bathroom pod prototype coming to life offsite. The visit provided valuable insight into the prefabrication process, allowing the team to review key details, finishes and interfaces early, ensuring alignment ahead of production. It is a great example of how modern methods of construction are supporting quality, safety and program certainty on the project. We are looking forward to seeing the pods arrive on site and become part of Larkins Hall, and will continue to share updates as we progress towards successful delivery. #ADCO #MonashUniversity #Construction #Prefabrication #StudentAccommodation #PeopleWhoBuild

  • A major milestone reached at Lismore South Public School, with the final roof modules successfully lifted into position. Delivered as part of the Northern Rivers Flood Recovery program, the project has seen more than 100 modules assembled offsite using modern methods of construction, accelerating delivery while maintaining quality and safety across a complex rebuild. With the structure now complete, the team is progressing into final fit off, commissioning and the delivery of soft and hard landscaping works to bring the school to life. Delivered as part of the NSW Government’s commitment to rebuilding flood-impacted schools across the Northern Rivers, the project is supported by the Infrastructure Betterment Fund through the joint Australian Government and NSW Government Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements. A strong milestone for the team and a meaningful step forward for the Lismore community. | School Infrastructure | #ADCO #NorthernRivers #SchoolInfrastructure #DisasterRecovery #ModernMethods #ConstructionUpdate

  • Trade and skills campuses are critical to building Australia’s future workforce and delivering them requires specialist capability across learning environments, practical training spaces, services coordination, and long-term durability. ADCO’s education capability includes purpose-built training facilities that support hands-on learning in real-world settings. Examples include: 🔹 The $85 million Institute of Applied Technology for Construction - a flagship training hub with simulated workplace environments to develop the next generation of trades workers. The project was recognised at the 2024 Master Builders Association of New South Wales Excellence in Construction Awards, taking out the Tertiary Buildings $10M–$70M category. 🔹 The $35 million Morwell Trade Skills Centre- a large TAFE training facility with multiple learning spaces and practical workshop areas. This capability continues to be recognised through award-winning delivery, including the $75 million NextSense Centre of Excellence, which was honoured at the 2025 NSW MBA Excellence in Construction Awards (Tertiary Buildings: $10M & Over). #ADCO #PeopleWhoBuild #EducationInfrastructure #TAFE #SkillsAndTraining #TertiaryEducation #AwardWinningProjects #ConstructionExcellence

  • ADCO’s QLD Community Day once again brought our people together with a shared purpose, giving back to the communities we are proud to be part of. Each year, Community Day provides an opportunity for our people and project partners to step off site and contribute hands-on to meaningful local initiatives, in partnership with the Brinsmead Hill Family Foundation and a range of community organisations. This year’s impact was felt right across Queensland: 🔹 At Bond University, our team assembled and painted 8 cubby houses, to support CORE transitions in creating safe, engaging environments for families with young children. 🔹 At Ipswich Hospital, we revitalised multiple outdoor spaces to improve patient care, rehabilitation and wellbeing, including upgrades to the 6B Therapy Garden and Cribb House. 🔹 Through OzHarvest, the team prepared 264 nourishing meals, saved 132kg of food from landfill, and helped prevent 132kg of CO₂ emissions. 🔹 At Peachy Community Gardens (Ormeau), works included planting 22 fruit trees, installing native gardens, refreshing facilities, and completing a major site clean-up. 🔹 At the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, teams enhanced key patient and public spaces with landscaping, painting works, and upgrades to the Youth Cancer Centre balcony. The feedback from our partners says it best: “We are incredibly grateful for the energy, professionalism and care your team brought to the day.” – Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital Foundation Community Day is a reflection of what matters to us at ADCO, supporting stronger communities and making a tangible difference where we live and work. | Rosenlund | BBC Painting Pty Ltd | Wattyl Australia | RAW Skips | Beenleigh Steel Fabrications | Primetime | Klenner Murphy Electrical Pty Ltd | Dowbury Roofing | 1300TempFence | Assa Signs | Taringa Steel | Neumann Steel Pty Ltd | Ausdirect Steel | Auscoat Fire | Zipf Family | HQ Steel Fixing | Black Diamond Group | Borderline Plumbing | BST Group | AH Fencing Pty Ltd | Bull Civil | Solutions Built | Crown Windows QLD | Elite Access Solutions | CORONA CABINETS PTY LTD | AAA Precast Concrete Qld Pty Ltd | OIC ENGINEERING PTY LTD | Bradford Concrete | Naturelink | Matrix Unlimited | Endemic Landscapes | Dulux | Qld Formwork | Stowe Electrical | Wadsworth | NEG | Maintek Roofing | Lindores Labour Hire | GM Fire | Amalgamated Group | Cava Scaffolding | Boon & Willard | G James | GVK Group | Kennards Hire | Supplym8qld | Crown Windows & Doors Ltd | Black Diamond Modular | Tools for Schools Australia | DGE | #ADCO #CommunityDay #GivingBack #BrinsmeadHillFamilyFoundation #StrongerCommunities #ConstructionWithPurpose
