On paper, #SupplierEngagement is a reporting workflow. In practice, it's a series of small, quick decisions. Respond now, respond later, or ignore... But participation is shaped by the first request a supplier gets, and if it's unclear or heavy to start, momentum dies before progress begins. A #Scope3 program that works tells suppliers exactly what's needed, cuts the effort to respond, and gives them a clear route from reporting to action. > > > The supplier experience is the Scope 3 program. < < < #SupplyChainDecarbonization

Burn natural gas or other process fuels on site? Under #SBTi’s new V2.0 Standard, you can no longer lean on renewable electricity to carry your Scope 1 target. It has to be tackled directly. That’s easier said than done, says Mia Overall, ACT's Strategic Account Director, especially given how capital- and time-intensive electrification and fuel switching can be. 🗓️ On July 28th, we’re running a webinar in both the Americas/EMEA and APAC time zones covering exactly this. Featuring our on-the-ground experts Miroslav Batka, Head of R&D Americas, Danny Nigh, Sustainability Specialist, Sha Du, Senior Strategist and Roshni Bham, Corporate Sustainability Strategist, the session will cover: → SBTi’s new implementation hierarchy, and what it means for energy-intensive businesses → How companies can practically prepare for new #Scope1 targets, even when electrification isn’t possible in the near-term → Which market-based instruments exist for companies in your region, including biomethane certificates and renewable thermal certificates, and how to incorporate them into your strategy moving forward → How to rethink your #decarbonization plan so it’s achievable and aligned with SBTi’s new requirements 📌 Sign up for the webinar today and learn how to get ahead:https://brnw.ch/21x4gR5 The companies that start early are better positioned to identify credible solutions and secure access before the market gets too tight. #CorporateDecarbonization Science Based Targets initiative

📰 👀 Tim Weiss, CEO and Co-founder of Optera, said: “Optera was founded to help the largest companies in the world and their suppliers confidently transition to the low-carbon economy, from value chain decarbonization to regulatory compliance. Joining Green Project and ACT Group allows us to realize this vision at an incredible scale, with a truly global reach and end-to end solution.” Colin Crooks, CEO of ACT Group, added: “With Green Project Technologies and Optera, we’re bringing together enterprise software, global market access and execution capability in a way that is unique in our industry. Together, we’re helping organizations move beyond measuring emissions to accelerating decarbonization across their entire value chain.” Sam Stark, CEO and Founder of Green Project, said: “For years, the sustainability industry has focused on measurement. Companies can calculate emissions, produce disclosures, and set targets, yet many still don’t know how to close the gap. Together with Optera, and backed by ACT Group’s global infrastructure, this is the platform that closes it: one place that meets enterprises and every one of their suppliers where they are and moves them from measurement to action.” https://brnw.ch/21x4aTJ

Three regulatory shifts this June will reshape how companies source carbon and energy credits. Science Based Targets initiative's #NetZero Standard V2.0 keeps the focus on direct emissions cuts, and opens more room for high-integrity EACs. That means rising demand for renewable gas, biofuels, and environmental attribute certificates. China's national renewable energy quota kicks in August 1, 2026, and turns GEC procurement from voluntary to mandatory for key sectors. Timelines are short, and the penalties for non-compliance are enforced. In the US, the DOE's updated 45Z GREET model closes a major gap for biofuel producers, and the Washington-California-Quebec market link just moved closer to law. If you operate in an affected sector, check where you stand. Get the full breakdown in our June Carbon and Energy Policy Update >>> https://brnw.ch/21x49rI #ACTonit

Read through the #SBTi Corporate #NetZero Standard V2.0 and not sure where to start? For teams with big electricity loads, natural gas exposure, transportation emissions, or complex value chains, V2.0 tightens what a credible plan needs to show: → Separate Scope 1 and Scope 2 targets → Tighter geographic requirements for RECs → Separate targets for any Scope 3 category over 5% of your value chain emissions On July 28, our specialists are hosting a webinar on what changed and what to do next, featuring speakers in APAC/EMEA with Sha Du, Senior Strategist, and Roshni Bham, Strategist, Corporate Sustainability ✒️ https://utm.io/urzdq We’ll cover: ✓ The V2.0 implementation hierarchy and what it changes for reporting decisions ✓ How to plan for separate Scope 1 and Scope 2 targets when electrification isn’t feasible near-term ✓ Where RNG certificates, RECs, and SAF certificates still apply, and where they don’t ✓ Why assessing your options early beats waiting for demand to tighten Our team combines Science Based Targets initiative experience with on-the-ground delivery. You’ll leave with a clearer view of what V2.0 changes in practice and where credible market-based instruments may fit inside a wider #decarbonization plan.
