On July 7, the project team gathered at Na Nah Thong, a local Southeast Asian-owned small business in Fresno, to recognize the successful completion of the survey phase of California’s first comprehensive Southeast Asian Business Study through SCALE Fresno, a special program of Access Plus Capital. We’re proud to share that 225 surveys were completed by Southeast Asian business owners across Fresno County. Each response represents a voice, a story, and a perspective that will help shape future investments, policies, and support systems for small businesses in our region. Thank you to our community partners—The Fresno Center, Hmong Inc., Laotian-American Community of Fresno, United Khmer Cultural Preservation, Maarte, and the Asian Business Incubator & Resource Center—for helping make this possible. Listening is the first step toward meaningful change. On July 7 and 8, Access Plus Capital, through SCALE Fresno, hosted a series of Southeast Asian Business Study Focus Group Sessions at Hopeful Encounter in Fresno. These conversations brought together Southeast Asian small business owners from across Fresno County to share their experiences, challenges, opportunities, and aspirations as part of the study's qualitative research component.
