𝗖 𝗳𝗼𝗿 … 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 In the world of #compostable, #biodegradable, #biobased and #renewable materials, #innovation is important. But innovation without compliance is just a claim. Compliance is what transforms environmental promises into verifiable facts. It provides a common language between manufacturers, brands, regulators, waste management operators, and consumers. For compostable packaging, internationally recognized #standards such as #EN13432, #ISO18606 or #ASTMD6400, establish clear requirements regarding biodegradation, disintegration, ecotoxicity, and material characteristics. They help ensure that products are not only designed with good intentions but are also proven to perform as expected at the end of their life cycle. Certification plays a key role in this process. Independent verification demonstrates that a product has been assessed against established criteria rather than self-declared marketing statements. Because sustainability is not about what we say.
