Did you know? If you're a BiH citizen living in Australia, you still have the right to vote in BiH elections and you can do it by post. Distance doesn't have to mean disconnection. Whether you moved here years ago or were born to BiH parents abroad, your voice in shaping Bosnia and Herzegovina's future still matters. Diaspora voters play a real role in elections, and registering is simpler than many people think. How to register: Visit the official Central Election Commission (CIK BiH) portal to register for postal voting: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/de_9QAZk Why this matters: For many in our community, BiH isn't just where we're from; it's where family remains, where property and roots exist, and where decisions made today shape tomorrow. Voting from abroad is one of the simplest ways to stay engaged with the country's future. If you haven't registered yet, now is the time to check your eligibility and get it done. 📩 Share this with family and friends in the diaspora who may not know this option exists.

Great to attend the Australian Business Summit Council (ABSC) Annual Gala Dinner tonight in Sydney. An impressive gathering of close to 300 guests including ambassadors, high commissioners, consuls-general, diplomats, and business leaders from across the globe — a strong reflection of Australia’s global connections. A highlight was the keynote from NAB Senior Economist Taylor Nugent, sharing insights on the evolving economic landscape. For Bosnia and Herzegovina, events like this are an important platform to deepen relationships and strengthen business and diplomatic ties. It was great to be there alongside Amir Sahinovic, Honorary Consul from the Consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sydney and to engage with such a diverse international network. Thank you to Dr Frank Alafaci and the ABSC team for bringing together such a high-quality event. Looking forward to building on the connections made tonight. Our Chair attended the Norwegian Constitution Day celebrations in #Sydney this week, representing Australian Bosnian and Herzegovinian Chamber of Commerce at the invitation of the Norwegian Australian Chamber of Commerce (NACC). 👏 Hundreds gathered to celebrate Norwegian heritage, culture, and #community; a powerful reminder of what diasporas can achieve when they come together with purpose. As Haris Jackman reflected: "Celebrations like this are more than cultural events; they’re expressions of unity, continuity, and shared belonging." Thank you to Sophia Demetriades Toftdahl and the Norwegian Chamber for the warm welcome. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gY8Pz68K
