Web Applications Architect with over nine years of experience designing and developing websites on a variety of platforms (e.g. J2EE:Struts/Tiles/JSP and LAMP:PHP/MySQL). Areas of particular expertise include client-server interaction; web standards; site scalability; page performance; Apache URL rewriting; all details of the presentation tier and its integration with core server-side code; SEO; and a deep understanding of the HTTP protocol. Interested in tracking emerging changes in web-related technologies (e.g. Ajax, JSON, Wiki, Rails, etc.) and applying what I learn to large-scale, robust, high-performing, useful and profitable websites. I also enjoy teaching and training others in all of this stuff. My current role has me working with a small peer group of architects to design and oversee implementation of a modular collection of web applications using PHP5, Java and Web Services. I continue to enjoy mentoring smart developers, guiding business stakeholders in technology decisions and website strategy, and writing some code to stay sharp.
